The download program runs and I can see various games in progress but when I go to start one or join one, the window is just a black window w/ no sound or video.

I have an iMac running OSX, the video card is NVIDIA GeForce 9400, but I can't find any drivers online for Mac OSX and I just got it this June so figured it would be up to date.

am I missing something?

note that it shows me under "visitors", not players. any help?

how do I tell on a Mac OSX if port 6260 is blocked or not (as per the FAQ)? I take it this is incoming port 6260?

Try pressing F5 to toggle to fullscreen and then go back to windowed mode by pressing F5 again. We will solve this as soon as we can.

Had the same problem here; I'm running OS X 10.5 on a iMac with GeForce 8800GS video card.
I have set my MacOS firewall to allow incoming connections for MULE and forwarded (I think...) the port required on my Airport Extreme router.

Edit: Toggling seems to fix it! Thanks a billion!

Same problem here, only F5 is ignored. It doesn't do anything when I press it.

I also can't quit the program. It ignores both cmd-Q and Quit from the menu bar.

What can I try now?

I'm using Leopard on a G5.

Thanks.

Okay, I fixed the black screen issue by entering F5 as the full screen option in the Settings, even though it was already set that way.

I still have to Force Quit the program to quit it. <sigh>

To quit, I found I have to click the close button in the game window. The other methods don't work.

Yeah, I'm currently trying to get the game to start in OSX (10.4.11), and it keeps only giving me the black screen (as described above). The F5 trick doesn't seem to be working. The game won't quit most of the time. Can't get it to do anything worthwhile at all. Sad.

And now, eventually, I got the F5 trick to work. Game is running. Awesome!
