Quote
our MULEs would go lazy, spending half of their time tap-dancing and getting drunk at the PUB.

Silly Goose, MULEs can't go to the Pub. As for tap dancing, that's just cultural expression. You're not opposed to that, are you?

2  Planet Mule 1 / Bugs 1.2.4 / Synchronization Problem on: May 14, 2010, 02:44
Had a problem come up that I've never seen before. Game was running normally and then this was displayed: "Warning: Game is not synchronized with Gohar." Everything seemed to go wonky from there. Gohar eventually quit becuase he was causing the game to freeze. Thought it was strange and worth reporting...

In the People's Republic of Irata, there will be a law against humour. No jokes allowed.
4  Planet Mule 2 / Ideas / Re: I'd like to see a Starbucks added to the Colony. on: February 04, 2010, 08:48
Instead of a Land Sale office (which is hardly ever used) there should be a Union Office where Players can hire Union MULEs. Union MULEs might cost a little more, but they're more reliable and produce better quality goods. Corporate investment in the Colony should be discouraged. It's General Store atmosphere builds a sense of community, which ultimately benefits the Colony as a whole.

In the PRI, you'd be shot for treason and 1st degree disruption of production. That's right, you'd be executed twice. You'd better believe how serious we are here in the People's Republic of Irata.
6  M.U.L.E. Community / Website, Ranks & Forum / Re: Sportsmanship on: February 03, 2010, 08:18
The issue of sportsmanship is very subjective as everyone has different ideas of what it means to be a good sport. Deep down inside we all know if we've played fair or not. You can make all the excuses and lies you want to over the internet, but you can't fool yourself.

Players who don't sell food or energy aren't poor sports. They're just players who missed out on ore or crystite or good plots or MULEs, etc. They want to win just like all the rest of us. If you talk smack to players during a game, then you're just fueling the stereotype of an internet jerk (someone who forgets that that person on the other end is human no matter how many miles may separate them). Grow up I say to all you internet jerks. It's hard enough to get a game most times of the day. Internet jerks make it even harder by driving players away. We should be encouraging people to play, not making them feel bad for not knowing the rules of the game as well as you do. Play fair, help new players out, and have fun. It's that simple. MULE is boring as hell without actual humans to play with.

I usually notice pleanty of people willing to play, but hardly any able to host. Port Forwarding really limits things.

So all you Socialist MULE players out there, what's your excuse? Shouldn't you be handing out pamplets on a street corner or something... Do you really thing this game will bring about a global worker's state? Somedays I think it just might. Children should play this game as a good introduction to market forces. I'm not saying we should abandon the free market, I'm just saying the people who actually do work should get the highest wages.
