1  M.U.L.E. Community / General Discussion / Re: Atari or C64? on: January 14, 2010, 15:35
For me the Atari version was allways better

Four players

Instant loading with cartridge

Original and first version

Wumpus is harder to catch

Plots get wiped out with planet quakes(movement of moutains)

Better graphics

Keep it as it is mule should be cut throat. It's nobodys fault if you don't have cash play better. My biggest fear is this game is more and more watered down for so called balance. There all ready no collusion/no cash penalty or advantage for diffrent speices because whiners would claim it unfair.I also notice next land for safe afther the 1st/2nd/3rd in any round does not start contine upwards from the first

Example:

1st plot let say sells for $900

2nd plot if theres 1 to sell would then start from $900

Just like the Atari version did not shure about the c64 version?

4  Planet Mule 1 / Planet M.U.L.E. 1 Discussion / Re: Collusion: Can/Should It Be Restored? on: January 11, 2010, 19:10
Also i would like to see support for multiple diffrent account log in's from the same exe so it's then possible three players can join from same machine i'm shure lots of whiney people will hate this.

Not just the whiney people - we've already seen reports of cheating using multiple accounts.

I think you misunderstod i ment multiple diffrent accounts log in's from same game exe.and ofcoruse four port usb joystick/joypad support

8  Planet Mule 1 / Planet M.U.L.E. 1 Discussion / Re: How to play with USB joystick (emulating keyboard, Windows only!) on: January 09, 2010, 11:05
Hi!

I own an USB-Competition-Pro. Unfortunatly right now you can only play Planet M.U.L.E. by using the keyboard. BUT:

With the following software you can map each state of the USB joystick with a key. With that you can already play Planet M.U.L.E. with your joystick:

Quote
JoystickCursorTool is a small utility simulating keyboard keys using a joystick. It can be used for keyboardless navigation in browsers and file managers, playing games without native joystick support, using the joystick port for electronic interfaces without needing to write a joystick driver as well as other situations where only a small subset of the keyboard is typically used.

Works very well thank you.

10  Planet Mule 1 / Bugs 1.2.0 / crystite on: January 09, 2010, 10:07

Update Release 1.2

The previously announced changes have been added:

    * Smithore and crystite spoil to a maximum of 50

You can still stock well over 50 units no problems

Counter what? Honstely people who played mule with Kaillera client will allready know it's not very good. That's why it's such roaring sucess with many games played and hosted*sigh*. Also I think that abandonware has never been legal.
12  M.U.L.E. Community / General Discussion / Re: Atari Mule Online? on: January 07, 2010, 14:26
If you play in NTSC mode it's not much faster then PAL in terms of playing time your still talking 2-3 hours+ with four players that's without any relief breaks or pauses and that is unrealistic for flakey Kaillera client and over sensrtive Atari800WinPlusAgain.As for my connection nothing wrong there hosted well over 20 PlanetMule games.
13  Planet Mule 2 / Ideas / Enhanced ideas? on: January 07, 2010, 10:19
As on the NES multiple capture of wumpus in round?

Planet quakes on the Atari version moutains that moved wiped out other plots?

Crystite plots that are hit by meteor storm should have extra output?

14  M.U.L.E. Community / General Discussion / Re: Atari Mule Online? on: January 06, 2010, 23:58
The Atari version works well with 4 internet players provided they all have under 60ms ping, though its somewhat complicated to set up.  The Atari MULE package makes it a little easier.  It works great on a LAN.  Haven't tried WinVice but one would imagine that latency would also be an issue with that since the original MULE game had no mind of latency.

Over the net with 4 players all having pings under 60ms.Your still more likely to a game drop because Kaillera is not very good. Then you haved the added problem of Atari800WinPlus being very sensitive. Then added problem of the game not being designed for net play in the first place. It's also a very long long game with 2-4 real players we are talkin 2-3 hours at very least using only what we can being NTSC or PAL.

We have the random event fire in the store. So seeing as the store is on a river and other farm plots i guess that would fit nicely in a enhanced version maybe?
