You are both very opinionated people, and i know since i have been here chuckie is someone who helps people ALOT especially new players to MULE. Having read the original 'public' response and resulting fallout i can offer my humble opinion on the matter.

I personally believe that when chuckie sent you the PM it was with all good intentions in helping someone new avoid potential problems on here, and while i agree that some of the points he made were basic and may have seemed aimed at someone with little knowledge of the game, they were made in good faith and purpose. I certainly wouldnt have interpreted them in the way you did Null.

You had a poor start for sure on your account for sure but so what your still here and as you say it was unintentional. Im sure you now understand why the regular players assume the worst sometimes and treat newer players as such. I think if you choose to publically post chuckies pm then thats fair game, you havnt signed a data protection act on PlanetMule so fine, the fact that you chose to call him out on it again is your choice it makes no odds, in fact if anything i wouldnt have an opinion on this if i hadnt seen what u posted.

Chuckie your assumption that private is private, im afraid you have taken too literally in this case. In my opinion applying the confidentiality of someone health care documents to a planetmule pm does amuse me somewhat. I understand it is a doctrine of sorts that you live by but you cant realistically expect that everyone you meet holds the same high standards in confidentiality. That is a big assumption! If someone sent me a PM that i found derogatory or offensive (not that i believe yours was) in someway i might be inclined to post it publicly also.

You should both agree to disagree and understand that your arguments will go on endlessly until someone chooses not to respond, i dont care either way as its an interesting read from where im sat.

I can agree with your post Auf.  Well said.  It all boils down to throwing rocks when no rocks need throwing.  This is why I scratch my head about the whole ordeal.  Constantly bringing it up is not only pointless, but is a fool way of trying to get the last word.


In closing.. Chuckie, you're welcome to the last word.  Everything about this from my perspective is simply humor.  We are both opinionated and neither of us like getting our toes stepped on.

I do realize this isn't healthcare and that privacy isn't quite the same, but like I said, I'm anal about privacy.

I was very offended that you chose to confront me openly rather than respond privately and tell me to mind my own business.  A private response would not have upset me.  You maybe just see it mainly as humor.  I don't.  I think it's stupid.  Yeah, we both look like idiots.

My main point is, I just wanted to deal quietly, I didn't want to have 50 million people coming to opinions about either one of us, positive or negative.  I thought, private forum, no one gets hurt, if it's offensive you can let me know, end of story, but you opened it up.

I'm sick of the whole thing.  I really thought I was trying to do something nice for someone who seemed unfairly attacked on a perhaps accidental bad start, and on that, no one disagrees, that you had an accidental bad start.

I wasn't intentionally targeting anyone, but when I do get shit on, I do throw shit back.  Just part of who I am, since I was a kid, got bullied at school, got bullied at home, dad thought it would toughen me up, turns out, it did, just not how he thought it should.  I couldn't outwit, so I'd physically attack instead, my dad wanted me to be strong enough to ignore it and pretend it didn't bother me.  Not to try to outwit or fight back, just pretend I didn't hear it, well, that never worked, the harder I tried to walk away, the more the other kids would poke, so I'd fight, and when dad would bully me at home, I'd throw punches at him too.

Not much has changed, I don't normally hold grudges, I am quick to forgive when I hear apologies, but I do get irate when I feel unacknowledged, or made to feel like I'm less of a person.  I guess that's my problem, I do want to just move on, just feel shit on, that's all.

Seems the fight is over who actually threw the first rock.  I say it was you, because it wasn't a rock until it was public.  Did I throw back, hell yeah, I threw every damn boulder I could find.  Stupid, I know, we both look like jerks.

So, since I don't believe my pm was a rock, I'm really defensive about it, and all I wanted was a simple withdrawl of the public post, but I guess I did go about that the wrong way.  I should have PM'd to you instead of responding publicly and asked you to withdraw the post, but I tried to defend it and point the finger back at you, my bad.

Thanks Gohar for giving the site info for this funny mule fight from yesteryear. I love seeing two despicable mule monsters go after each other. Never got the displeasure of playing sockmonkey but I have played akire1 before and playing on his server is a nightmare. I guess that's his home field advantage. I'm  1 and 1 against him or her and I would only play him once or twice a year. Its like the mule version of going into the lions den playing akire1 and his ai's with a slow as molasses server that he uses.
