So I've had variations of this conversation in dozens of games now:
Opponent: "Hey, why'd you win that land auction? My bid was higher than yours!"
Me: "It's a bug, actually. Because of network lag, you won't necessarily see the current bids of your opponents in the land auction in real time. Instead, you'll see what they were bidding a few milliseconds before. This makes their bids appear to be lower than yours, when in actuality they're bidding higher than you."
Opponent: "Really? Well that sucks!"
Me: "Yes, yes it does. Hopefully they'll fix this bug someday."
I know the developers are already aware of this bug, but I'm bringing it up again because:
- It affects the games quite often. In around half of my games, somebody gets screwed out of a land auction because they thought their bidding was higher than their opponents.
- This bug still exists in version 1.2.4.
Thanks for any work you can do towards fixing this!
