1) Alien powers.  I believe these are the intended ones.

A) Flapper. more money, more time, no ranking if you win.  Winning as a flapper doesn't count for stats. Smiley
B) Human, less money, possibly a little less time. Handicap. Bragging rights if you win. Smiley
C) Mechtron. no powers, but gets more money if played by cpu. At least 1 will ALWAYS get into smithore, no matter how many AIs there are, at least in original game, and will always flood the store.
D) Packer. +1 Food production, but also +1 food required (need 2 plots to benefit) I KNOW this was true on c64.
E) Bonzoid. +1 to mining in mountain plots (or +1 smithore. +1 to crystite too is just too good unless it has to be in mountain) ALternate. moves through mountains at full speed (good for wampus hunting). but all the literature says "mines more easier"
F) Gollumer. Wins ties in land auction. Possibly also wins ties in land grant.
G) Leggite. This should move faster during development slightly, but doesn't seem to. Should average out slightly better than flapper's time bonus.
H) Sphereoid. I think these should have -1 smithore, +1 food and energy. the flavor text suggests that they would be bad miners, and if so should get some sort of bonus to make up. They seem to have no adjustment in original.

2) Simplified land grant for online. all 4 players click. The player who clicked the land plot earliest in the standard order gets theirs, subject to tie breaker rules. the remaining 3 click again, then 2, then 1. This allows people to change their mind when they see who got what.  Removes reflexes, yet allows people to change their mind after one person gets their plot. Also lets Gollumers abuse their ability if they get to use it there. Reflexes favors the AIs too greatly, and is only reasonable for non internet multiplayer.

3) there's a second exploit for round 12 trading. this is where 3rd and 4th place make disadvantageous trades to second place to push him past first place player.  This works like a charm against the AI in the original, who just stand still.  Other players can of course interfere, barring collusion.  If you want the AI players to stop this bit. here's how.  Make leading AI flip flop to opposite of second place, and go straight for center and stay there.

Speaking of collusion. there are two types.

One is land auction collusion. This is very easy to implement. Seller clicks collusion button, clicks desired buyer. Simple.

Second is normal collusion. This is important, but hard to implement.

It has to work, but not allow people to spam. I think a system where if one player clicks the other they aren't notified, but if the player clicked BACK, then collusion starts would work.

Those Sound great, I think that all the rules should be changeable by the host, I think there should be options like oriinal graphics, starting minerals, chance of disasters and lucky events, handicaps (For higher ranked players against lower) short tournament games and less then and more then 4 players in tournaments, I also think you should be awarded for your name, it's so amazingly cool you could keep a side of meat in it for a week, it's so hip it cant see past it's waste etc etc
