I'd like to see the races mean more like in the original version, and to be able to change it game to game. For example in the C64 version the humanoids were for experts players and started with less money. (good to pick if you want to move up in rank/points system)
Less time in the land auctions as well so we curb the tactic of raising the price up and then dropping down to avoid buying. Another idea would be reducing character speed when trying to lower the bid, or even forcing the offending player to buying the plot when other players return to the start position.
I like the assay flags (you only see the plots you personally assay), I like the assay system as is, and found it the one change from the C64 that I felt was an improvement.
I think extra options (set round/time limit, small, medium, or large map, starting store/player units as examples) would be good that host can toggle on/off when they create the game. This would allow for different strategies/tactics, and the rank/point system can adjust depending on the settings. I think that a game played with 4 humans should be worth more points than a game played with only 2.
Oh one big thing that's a pet peeve of mine, the store sells to the person who got to the line first, in the case of a tie THEN it goes by current game rank.
For example A B C run to the store, A & B get there first, with C being behind. Since A is in 1st the store sells to B, by this time C has reached the store. I think the next to buy should be A because they were there before C..... or not... I'm not sure really depends what position I'm in at the time.. lol
Just make the game C64 original (not sure what Atari version was like), with extra options. People might like the extra options over the original, but speaking personally the changes to the original (except for the assay) were IMO terrible.
Thanks for reading.
