I haven't even played a game of PlanetMULE on-line.. YET! But... oh you bet I will! Hours and hours of it.. I look forward to playing with others here on-line too.
However, I just had to sign up and make a post first in the forum to say how jazzed I was to see this game evolve to this. The graphics update are wonderful, and still pay homage to the original in it's simplicity. The game has never been about the splashy graphics... nope all about the game play!
Brings tears of joy it does. I have been an obsessed M.U.L.E. fan boy since the day it came out in 1983 and have played it in every format it was ever released on. I once even tried to port it myself to a Gameboy device (

I still own an original copy of the C=64 version, and no word of a lie, just hosted a M.U.L.E. party at my house last night (80's night) -- projecting the game onto my living room wall. M.U.L.E. on the big screen is a beauty to behold indeed. I highly recommend it.

http://twitpic.com/photos/lancetayI also recently discovered Frodo and a few other C=64 emulators and have been playing hours, and hours of M.U.L.E. on my X-Box, Palm TX, Mac, and Windows machines. Nope, I just can't get enough of it, and this game never gets old.
Which brings me to now, where I first learned of PLANET MULE while trying to research whom owned the copyright on the game. I enjoyed reading once again all of the tribute pages on-line to Dani (indeed a talent lost, and missed by many).
http://www.interactive.org/hall_of_fame/details.asp?idHallOfFame=12Alright then, it's 2:00 AM in the morning... I now need to install Planet MULE on my Mac and get started then. I suspect I will be still playing when the sun comes up in just a few hours!
Buy low, sell high!
My Best Regards,
