Last night while playing this game http://www.planetmule.com/hi-score-game/game?game_id=20017 in about round 6 we noticed the game completely stopped (we could still chat) right after the summary but before plot selection. and it sat there fof almost 5 min... Then magically it started going again and we selected our plots.  Then it stopped on round 7 in the very same place for what seemed like a very long time. One player gave up and left. Again it magically started again, then round 8 stopped again in the same place, the last player gave up and left. so it was just me.  I left it sit for about 10-15min and it started again! The game seemed to stop the is behavior in about round 10.

One other thing That just seemed wacky was the one AI player that had taken over habius had lots of land but none of them had mules on them. And for much of the game he had no food, but in round 10 (I think, might have been 11 or both).  He did have food but did absolutely nothing when his turn came up, he just sat there till the timer ran out. and he had cash to buy mules and outfit, jut didn't.. dunno why.

Sounds like something that would happen due to a laggy player. Even if everyone was able to chat, someone still could have been having a bad lag spike that caused the game to hiccup like that.

I've noticed that lag spikes from a player will upset the game's timing for some time, even after the lag spike has passed, so that could be why.

mikman: Your log seems to be strangely mixed with a log from the_shrimper. Is this your other account?

This delay happens because the AI takes a long time to decide which plot to claim and what to produce if it owns a lot of empty plots. We're planning to fix it. From skimming through the log I suspect the AI had a food shortage and didn't have time to develop all his plots. Then the plots start piling up and the AI has a hard time deciding what to do. Then it gets worse when all 3 AIs have that same bad spiral behavior. It has been on our todo list from the release but there have been more important things to fix.

well since there was 5-10min delays between rounds I actually signed up another account and and started playing another game while waiting for this one to finish.  Call me crazy.  sucks it probably makes the log harder to read... sorry about that.
