Crash just after creating view is done (1.2.2)

I use the current Windows download and can't get it to start, neither with login nor a local game. It always get's until the point, where the screen turns black for a very short time, then a box appears with a message, it couldn't load some file "Failed to load image from images/followers/sprite-mule.png".
Snippet from log.txt:
INFO [View.<init>] Creating view...
SEVERE [SlickLogSystem.error] java.io.IOException: Attempt to allocate a texture to big for the current hardware
I updated Java, the Intel graphics drivers, I searched the forum for this, but couldn't figure what it is. I use two screens but I turned one off and that didn't help either.
Anybody an idea?
I attached the logs.

I tried it with 1.2.1, and the same error comes. It doesn't seem to be related to the newest update.

The size of that texture is 896x80 ... May want to look up your graphics card/chipset manual to see the maximum supported texture size.. Im guessing its 512x512. Either get a better laptop or wait until on-the-fly texture resizing based on hardware capabilities has been added.

I don't know what made it work, but I was able to play with my Intel 945GM graphic card now. The texture limit was not the thing.
Again I turned off one of my two screens, and suddenly it worked.

Now it even works with two screens on. I have no idea why. Anyway, it's nice to be able to play!

If you're running other software using the video card it might run out of memory. In general if you can't get the game to start try closing all programs you have running in the background.
