So what is the vision for a "MULE 2" ?

First, we plan to do a complete new game + engine, which will be seperate from current planetmule.
So we have the freedom to think about completely new ways of doing a follow-up.

Each game idea should be discussed under its own topic to make navigation easier.

Our goal is to test new ideas, while keeping the core (the heart) of what made Mule Mule (strategic multiplayer economics) intact.

Also: Still no bombs. :-)

I like the idea of shorter running time, as that means more games in a smaller amount of time.  Also it assumes that the game will overall be more accessible to people with busy schedules.

Granted, I personally don't think 1.5 hours is that bad (shorter than most movies these days).

A 5th player spot would be cool, of course more players means longer game time.

Bigger map would be needed to accommodate a 5th player slot, so that makes sense -- grid or hex it all sounds interesting.
-Bigger map might make food more important due to having to move farther.

In regards to the bomb thing, its worth mentioning that now you can "pack" other players' food. I think this a step in the right direction and adding ways to directly play offense or defense with another player adds more depth to the actually map and gives more strategy to your locations.

And with the extra plots and players is there a new commodity/technology/mechanic/terrain in the works?

Lastly, has changing the shape of the plots been considered?

I installed and played last night. It was fun. But I had to install it several times to get it to work.  Undecided
I think not being able to change your race is really stupid. One of the things I used to love was trying different races each time. I forgot how much the one I selected sucked at mining.
Also today I can not get the game to run. Which is super frustrating and I am not going to try to uninstall and re install again after doing that several times last night. It seems like you are a long way off from having a game that is glitch free and fun.  Angry

Wow I did not realize mule2 was thought of just over a month after the PM release. As for mule 2 up and working again for 2016...dont even think of getting my hopes up again! Mule 2 is the land of broken hopes and dreams to me now. For a more c64 feel of the game, check out "mule returns" on android!! Only 3.99$ Only downside is the ai of course but they have added at least 1 game update already and the game feels real smooth. Fun to play while on the road, only takes about 45mins per game! or less

when i need to create fake tears asap...I just think about mule 2
