I would love to schedule some MULE time for my next LAN party. Is the server code available for download? Either the source, or the actual executable? Playing on a LAN with no net access would be fantastic!

You can play on LAN with no net access. Enter a username and then click "Play Local" . You will not be connected to the master server.  Create a new game and then on the other computer, click Join Address  and enter the IP of the computer that created the game.  You should be able to play.
