Hi everyone.

What I would like to see is an updated version of this wonderful game for the Atari 8-bit, now that we have large hard disks, and more colors on screen (IDE drives running with SpartaDOS-X), (APAC mode)  256K and more RAM....  Also, the Sega Genesis is a great machine. Especially 32xCD systems.

I understand there was a M.U.L.E. made for the Genesis, but never released.  All of the many Genesis fans would love it!

  Thanks for your time!

They wanted to put guns and bombs in the Genesis version, and the game author refused to allow it.  I like your idea, but I doubt anyone would want to do that now.  Why bother spending all that time writing a new game for an 8-bit computer when there is practically no chance of anyone buying it?  I think it is better suited that the developers continue working on the PC, and perhaps porting to modern consoles like PS3, X360 and Wii, and of course Windows Mobile  Roll Eyes

There are still games developed for 8 bit platforms like Atari or C64, but they are all mostly freeware.

Here is a list of downloadable freeware C64 games:

For example: Amiga Pinball Dreams conversion

And here of Atari:

For example: Yoomp!

No doubt, but I am fairly certain that at some point in the future Planet MULE will go commercial.  It's just a hunch, in which case developing it for an 8-Bit system would be practically futile.

No, please don't! Put some ads in the site (or even in-game, what about Gollumers wearing Nike shoes? Or the food auction sign sponsored by Burger King?), but don't make it shareware!
