*PLEASE READ FIRST* What this forum is for

As a reminder to everyone, especially new players:

This forum is to comment on the current state of Planet M.U.L.E., and provide suggestions as to improving the game and the programming.

Be advised that the developers have stated for the record that Planet M.U.L.E. (the game that is currently released and available for play) is to become an almost exact duplicate of the original in terms of gameplay. Any comments about the gameplay should only pertain to "why the current version isn't quite like the original". You are also encouraged to post feedback and suggestions about improving the interface to the game, so as to make looking for, joining, and tracking games more efficient and pleasant, as well as improving the look and feel of the game without altering core mechanics.

There are plans in the works to develop the successor to MULE (with the blessing of Melanie Bunten and the rest of Dan's children); progress to that effect is currently under wraps until Peter, Clemens (data2008) and the rest of the developers/testers are ready to share information. Understand, therefore, that this is a distinct and separate project from Planet MULE, and the two should not be confused as being part of the same effort.

This is not to say that public ideas and suggestions for the new version are not welcomed and asked for - however, such offerings should be posted under the "Future of M.U.L.E." forum instead. Moderators will do their best to keep the posts where they should go, so don't feel insulted if you find your suggestion either moved or deleted - chances are it is something that has already been proposed, and the developers are already aware of it.

Please also look for the "Beginner's Guide" threads under the "FAQ"-board, as they are an attempt to instruct old and new players as to the current state of the Planet MULE game, and catalog the outstanding requests and suggestions being made to improve its functionality, and also indicate places in the gameplay which still deviate from original spec. (It's also a work in progress, so bear with me. I need sleep sometimes.)
