Recently, I found my self with a large sum of food- the store was at $105.  Now, I was trying to sell but a player kept pretending to try and buy and then not--so he is pushing up and i am pushing down but he slowly lets go and slides down-- all while slowing (and annoyingly) draining the clock so I was unable to sell out to the store.

Someone else said this player was successfully able to block him selling 54 units of tite.

This doesn't seem like a technique or something that should be possible.  You either buy or allow the player to sell in the store, you should not be able to prevent someone from selling in to the store.

Have you come across this yet?

Folks, if you are running a large hedge fund (I know this probably only applies to about 25% of you here) do not give large block trades to SJleader to fill them as your trader.

Because sj has no balls to mention the players name who has the skill to do this AND rather play retards like cyber and judas....i will.
His name is zig, hes 14yrs old and a rare new generation muler. He figured out a way to fully block you from selling to the store. The trick is to sell right away!, dont pretend you are not selling till the clock is half gone, or he WILL block that sale. other than that he was taught by his dad warmongrel(an instant elite).

Its no different from mrgoods 100% land race win glitch, or cybers "buy tite at any price and it goes up the next round" glitch. You just have to find a way to adapt to it.

Hope this helps..

Sj the noob wants clarification ?? Haven't you ever lost a race to pappy (mrgood) when hes first and you are 4th? when in a tie the land is suppose to go to lowest rank eg. 4th. And have you ever sold cyber tite, and watch the price go up the very next round?? If not, you do not play enough mule or just drink to much during a game and could care less.

Any other questions?

Hi SJ

I remember when I was new to Mule it took me a long time to figure out why in some rounds i was not able to sell my produce, The sneaky veterans at that time never explained what happened, but in those days everyone was much more civil and courteous and observed a gentlemanly code of silence so it was in keeping with mule culture so i don't mind.

Anyway, it does add an element of uncertainty, and fun. Few other better sense of schadenfreude than to block someone selling their 144 crystal. It rarely works of course as most people are aware of it, so when it is successful, it is quite funny in a way. But if we as experienced players allow it to happen to ourselves then only we are at fault.

There is therefore a question each player selling has to answer: Do they feel lucky?. Do they feel they can risk the possibility of not being able to sell at all, for the benefit of getting more money for less produce. Its a fun and interesting element to Mule, and I personally wouldn't want it to be taken away.

There was something once similar to this, but related to land auctions. In the not to distant past, people could run land up to such a price making it impossible for others to buy, and to no risk to themselves. That was taken away, and now unless you get back to the starting price, any "runner" can get caught out themselves. I think that was a beneficial change, this wouldn't be as even here there is risk to the "runner" in that he may accidentally buy without knowledge, and also, crucially, it is entirely in the sellers hands whether they sell at an offered price or not.

What should we call the "anti sale move"?

Gohar, we see what you are saying. But that is not what sj is talking about!! There is a player named zig who can block your sale when you are running halfway down the screen to sell. Unless you hold down right after the timer is up to sell you are screwed, like i said he will catch you halfway down the screen if you wait even a few seconds to start pushing down. This is not an issue where you run up to the buy line and block, this is an all out BLOCK!  Now i dont know how he does it as his 14yr old ass wont tell me, the closest ive seen to this even coming close to happening is when 3players are tapping up and down to block 1 player from selling, but zigg is 100% successful in it all on his own. I just cant wait till he does it to you gohar, then we will all see a very angry and different post from you.

Okay thanks for clarifying. I was surprised that this was being talked of as new.

As the only member of the mule mile-high club I have a lot of respect for SJ. I must say though that I'm proud of young zig. It's not nearly as offensive to me as those using tite trackers. Often these tite trackers cause lag and other issues on top of their latent cheating.

I think a bigger issue than the 'block' is the fact that after a few hundred games Mule becomes boring. Maybe SJ's tourney idea could rectify that.
