I haven't got Mule working on this windows computer since when I first installed it.My Mac computer gave up and that's how I use to play.I can't join a game. When I try, it closes the program. I checked it on another computer and it says I'm still signed in the lobby. So I might be gone a while unless this is a fixable problem. Undecided

Make sure you have the latest version of Java installed.

I have the same problem but on my Mac. I updated my Java today to no avail... If I log in or click Play Local the game immediately crashes.  I did see one console error FWIW:
8/13/14 4:11:19.393 PM WindowServer[81]:
_CGXRemoveWindowFromWindowMovementGroup: Window not in group

I can play local and I don't get a error message at all.The file just closes when I go to, new game or join game.Sometimes it will do that when I go to play local too.

Little secrets -

One, archives on the server may be corrupt...  ...known working copies are on the facebook group.  Just search for us and request to be a member.

Two, Mule was written to run under Java 6 and does NOT work under the latest java correctly.

The windows version includes Java 6 integrated in the archive and will work regardless of what's already installed on the windows computer unless you tamper with it, but on MAC, it's a bit more of a headache.

OS X Mavericks comes with new java built in, and making it run Java 6 is a trick and a half.  Reportedly, it's still playable, but can be glitchy.  I personally have not seen it run on Mavericks, but there are members who are trying it out (ask SJLeader)

Previously a complaint was made after someone updated Lion or Mountain Lion to the new Java and the fix was going back to Java 6, but it was a hassle.  Look through the forum, it's in here somewhere.

Other issues in Windows tend to be related to video/audio drivers.  It's important to know what video card you have and if the drivers are current from manufacture of THE CARD, not the manufacture of THE COMPUTER or drivers supplied by MICROSOFT.  They usually cause problems.

The same is true of audio drivers to some extent.
