Why aren't abandon rates taken into account toward an individuals ranking? To create a disincentive to those players that like to quit when it is evident that they are not going to win that game.... This may assist in games being finished by all players and stop serial quitters (such as Gohar) from amassing high rankings and being regarded by the uninitiated as a Mule God ! Is this something that could be considered?

It does affect rankings indirectly.

There are two rankings:

One - total number of wins (this is the ranking you see on screen next to a player's name in the game);

Two - skill ranking (which is shown on the game web under "ranks" and is based on ending rank in each game based on the skill rank of those in the game.) If you leave a game/ get disconnected, then higher chance you will be last which if you have a high skill ranking will make you lose a lot of skill rank points for that game.

So what they could do:  just display skill ranking, next to players' names in games and in the lobby instead of total number of games won ranking as is done now.
