Ok I understand since recent crash the scores/ranks have missing data and are screwy (not reflective of actual rank)... But can someone answer me this... When I click on my own player name BEEMAN on website... it seems to have the stats for RHOBOT . That is just weird! This happend to me too I think.
While my profile remains unchanged, it appears I have taken over Obamanator's rank, stats and badge I've never won. Every game in my history log includes him as a player, and I'm not there.
I think his database ID ended up tied to my profile.

i too have lost all my stats for rodz (never logged in and never played)
ZDor (played 4 games as someone called stavyalk and abandoned 3)
and grandpappysmurf i have just started playing now
rodz and ZDor had played 1000 games and gps over 700; they have all disappeared it seems
i have logged in with all of them but to no avail. damm and it was a pretty good record and all

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to note this issue - please do not assume that we are aware of every glitch related to the recent server problems. We actually lost very little data but the ways things fit together, it's quite possible some weird things might happen - if they do please report them!
Secondly, can you guys post a couple of links as concrete examples of things being screwy?
I have a thought about what might be going on but we'll have to look into it... this was not a bug we were aware of.
I stickied this thread in case others see the same problems.

ZDor had played 1000 games @ 44% wins but now only has played 4 games and has 3 abandons when you look up my stats.
Zdor doesn't appear in any of these games, however the only common name is someone called snivyak.
rodz had also played 1000 games @ 43% win ratio but has no games recorded against me
Grandpappysmurf has played over 700 games but has only just started playing according to the stats
these are all of my names as i retire a name once it reaches 1000 games

My current guess is that when we got you to login, it didn't link up your forum login against your game user-id, but game you a new id... and that id was someone elses!
We're working to confirm this and figure out what to do about it.

This is the mother of all bugs! Having put in so many hrs over the yrs to obtain and maintain a high ranking + a good rep, then *poof* Its gone...is a very hard pill to swallow. I'm not gonna lie, I've lost a bit of my incentive to play. I know some players are gonna come at me with "who cares bout ranking, be happy mule is still up and running". Other players who had a high rank, aka gohar, planet,htman, brad, rho,dr.dd ,the jedi ect may act as though they dont care, But i know they do. Yes I luv mule, but I also luv the world ranking...thats what sets apart all the other mule games from planetmule. I really hope this issue can be resolved, If not oh well. Mule still exists online for free, thats all that matters in the end.
ps. whoever has my ranking now, please enjoy my shiny badges

We have updated the database last night with an early backup from May whioch should be consistent,
can everyone check if the data seems plausible while we fix some of the issues related to presenting data like the Sector map?

Please see my latest post in announcements. Those with missing stats will more than likely find their stats have been updated to reflect more or less what they had before the series of issues we've been experiencing these past few months (i'm hoping that's a pleasant surprise for most folks who were affected by the recent issues). If you come across something that doesn't seem right though, please post in this thread (the announcement thread is locked). Also, none of the data collected since yesterday morning was included in today's fix, but we may attempt to add that in the near future.
Some users will find any of the following changed: their chosen race (species), their last login dates, etc. Where that occurs, users can reset their race via their forum profile tools. Data like last login will be refreshed once a new login occurs. For obvious (or not so obvious) reasons some data had to be set to a default value during this fix. Game stats for the most part aren't affected by that though.
If anyone is really interested, some of the tables in the game database had as many as two million plus records in them, so there was much to weed through in trying to come up with the best possible solution. That said, hopefully most if not all will be happier moving forward... please continue to enjoy the game (and the soon to be released new M.U.L.E. 2), and thanks for your continuing support!
