You updated the version for land auctions AND DIDN'T FIX THE LAND AUCTION BUG TO ARTIFICIALLY LOWER THE PRICE OF THE ACTUAL AUCTIONS?Huh??  *sigh*

You have players selling 2-3 plots in a single round.  Its ridiculous.

Where is the "bug" change committee?

@ c64, At least we are on an even playing field now. You should be happy for that....
@nordelly, prompt my ass...this issue where people can tell how many upcoming land auctions there are via some geek program has been an issue since back in 2009. Thats why mainstream put in the "enable auctions" option in bot commands, to make the game even for everyone.

@peter,thanks for the great news

@Deathsizeme
There was a thread here last week with a detailled instruction how to exploit this.
It got quickly deleted.
A few days later the update arrived...so it was prompt...kinda.

@ C128: its no bug! trying to sell something without success lowers the price!
or: is it a bug, that the ore price raise in late game, when 100 ore is owned by two players and they burn the remaining mules?

@bossi: In the c64 version of MULE, the price of the next plot does not lower after a player's puts his plot up for auction and does not sell. So that makes it a bug, no?

"its no bug! trying to sell something without success lowers the price!"

This is a true statement I think. There is a point to this when nobody is buying but there is no point if the seller is 'buying' his own plot.

1) One possibility to fix this 'bug' would be to disable the seller from auction so he cannot buy something that is his already. This way there would also be a true risk of actually selling the land to another player, even when this 'loss' might be compensated by the upcoming auctions in plot quality & price (-60 each consecutive auction if no other buyers).

2) In real world, however, the seller cannot really be excluded from the auction I think BUT there is a penalty if you buy your own piece as you have to pay some fee to the person/company who arranges the auction. This might be another possibility so if you buy your own plot then you suffer a say 5 to 30 percent auction charge, or a fixed fee of 50 to 1000. Percentage/fee for each auction to be set by the program (calculated or random or both). The selling price would be the same for all players but if the seller buys the plot himself then he keeps the plot and reveives a reduced sum of money, not the total selling price.

I would vote for option 2) myself.
