I was involved in a close game where this so called person named Stifler who was way back in last place by over 10,000 decided to give the game to the two other opponents by buying up all 32 food items in the store and leaving me no food at all in round 10. I was in a close third place position and needed to buy just 2 to have a chance at winning. I really hate when players pull this garbage. They don't win any games pulling this crap but only get to decide who should be screwed over. The best thing I can do is to give fare warning about low lives like Stifler. If I was in deep last place like Low Life Stifler and had no chance of winning at all, I would never have screwed over any opponent in such a low class manner. People should win games on their own without getting help from other players. It cheapens the win and ruins the game experience. I AM ONE ANGRY APE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If all I have to do to knock one player out of the game is buy 32 units of food I'm doing it every time unless it is some astronomical price. The other advantage of buying that much food is you can now switch your food plots to ore/energy with no worries.
Stiffler could've thought, very reasonably, "Hey, I'm in last and I have no chance of winning but if I buy out all this food it screws King Kong and I may have a chance at third." Which, in my humble opinion, is much more in the spirit of the game than giving up just so you can do better.
He also could be a noob and was trying something to see the outcome and you are completely over-reacting.
Don't rely on the other players to do what you think they should do and you won't be disappointed.
EDIT: Don't mean to come across as a dick. I've felt exactly the same way when players do things that I know will negatively impact both of us but new players don't know the game mechanics as well as we do. It is the human condition when we are wronged to feel it was intentional but in most cases it's just the random machinations of the universe.

It was a completely intentional move and the low life Stifler bragged about it. How is buying 32 food items for about $1,800.00 in round 10 gonna help Stifler catch me for third place when I was ahead of him by over 10,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On principle alone I would never pull such crap. In over 1,000 games played Ive tolerated a lot of crap but there are 2 things that I will not put up with. One is having A Host shut down his game cause he's losing and second is having a last place slug who is losing by over 10,000 purposely help other players win.

What I don't understand is why you didn't have any food going into round 10. You should always keep at least 1 surplus, preferably 5 or more, going into that round. If you were in 3rd place it means that you didn't suffer pests so you didn't lose it all that way.
This leads me to the conclusion that in round 10 you didn't have 2 joined plots or 1 river plot producing food. That leads me to the conclusion that you were playing on hope and not planning which, as you've seen firsthand, doesn't work all that well.
Honestly, if there was a fire that round would you write an angry post about how the fire screwed your chances and that no one should play with fire?
p.s. Don't play with fire.

I've played a few games recently, where a man with military experience pulled similar stuff. He said he was doing it out of some kind principle. This was never explained clearly since the actions he took ensured him a dead last position. This player has significant experience, yet still has a poor understanding of the game. I find this to be almost be more annoying. That sheer willfull ignorance was displayed.
If its a noob, doesnt seem to bother me much at all.
At the end of the day though one can not know what other players will do, this is what makes playing humans so interesting. Acavia used to be guilty of these exploits as well, at least now he commits hari-kari, which is a slight step above.

I have also had poor experiences playing with Stifler. He whines and accuses everyone of cheating when he is loosing. He resorts to name calling amongst other tactics already discussed in this thread. He is definitely a poor sport and sore looser. I personally will not play with him again.

Haven't played him personally and just assumed it was ignorance but I did just experience him trying to goad kong into an argument in general chat so now I think I see where he is coming from.

I agree that Stifler doesnt understand how this game should be played. He comlains every move that isnt to his direct benefit and sees collusions everywhere. I dont play against him anymore. One time was enought.

So get this, the next game I play I get kicked in the 2nd round of the game for no reason. This experience has told me that its time to move on from playing mule. I now announce the death of King Kong, Donkey Kong, Grape Ape, MrGalaxy, Spiderman, Michael Jackson, Sam Hell, ElvisGodzilla, FaceBook and the real MuleBrynner. May they all rest in peace. Bye Planet Mule Its Been Fun

Acavia is up to his old trick of quitting when the game is not going his way. It would help if everyone refused to play with him until he stops this practice.
If we gathered together and stop playing with the few who ruin the game for the rest of us they will eventually get tired of creating smurfs and go away.

I've seen him quit even when he was likely to win; so it cant be about trying to rank up or win a gold badge. This is why I think it must be related to some kind of mental illness. My theory is that in his life he feels he lacks control so to give himself that feeling of power he arbitrarily quits mule games, the game ends at his discretion. Im not sure how Mule became the outlet for this strange fetish-like behaviour, but Im not sure what could fix it short of an intervention from those closest to him in real life.

Wow I come back after only one day to view my post and its turned into a diatribe about our good ole quitting friend Acavia / Crake. Unfortunately, you guys will never be rid of Acavia cause he has one great power that most people don't have. Acavia / Crake is completely oblivious to all criticism that is thrown his way. You can even call him out and criticize him to his face in the lobby which I have done yet it just doesn't affect him at all. Well when it comes to ole King Kong, I'm going back to Monster Island with all my ID buddies to retire and eat plenty of BANANAS. I'll reassess my situation in about year as to weather I want to play mule again. I have learned to never say never but for now I'm tired of all the crap Ive had to put up with here on Planet Mule which has made playing MULE an unpleasant experience. Later Guys

Our friend Acavia has quit his first game yesterday and I started new one with him. I asked him if he will finish it. He didnt understand my question. He quit the game round 4 and it was unrestartable game. Atari was happy because he likes to play against ai, but I wasnt. I think that Acavia isnt worth playing against nowadays.
