This seems like a decent remake. Glad I finally got the chance to install it and play around with it. My only complaint is about flow/speed/pacing. Even more so when playing single-player. I'm very familiar with the 8-bit original. It could be a little slow at times. But I think this remake is even slower. (As an example, a land auction when nobody had the cash to buy was painfully long. Also the delays on the main screen are uncomfortably long.)

As an aside, the best surprise I had was in the auction logic of the mechatrons. Nice to see them a little more intelligent and a little less easy to game. (Although it seems that I had the ability to game one into selling his resources to the auction house or not, because he wanted to stay ahead of me.)

Keep up the good work.

Yeah, the times aren't quite perfect, but acceptable for netplay.  The timers go quick if no one crosses the auction lines, but they don't pickup when people stop moving like it did in the original as much.  (In the land auctions they are constant one the line is crossed.)

The AI timing is terribly off, especially if you don't show A.I. activity.  The A.I. is even less intelligent in this one, but still, it's been a worthy successor as a four player net play version I think.  I don't know if they will ever perfect this version.

Wow! more than 316 views but hardly anyone replies..

I think the pace is just about right.

I take almost all little bugs in this version for granted..
At least we can play MULE online!

Woa, if the server ever shuts down for good, I'm left with a hole in my heart..
