After this game gets patched to a point where it doesn't crash so much I might video some games and give them some commentary...would anybody be interested in filming their games or watching them?

I just realized that to do this would require a way to replay the games, unless I record them while playing them, which is still interesting but does restrict the concept a lot.

Well, yeah... making a video would kinda require recording the game.

I'd think that actually OPENS the concept a lot - record a game, then go back through the magic of editing and add commentary about choices, commands, and so on.  This also allows you to skip the parts that don't add anything constructive to the production.

Question is - what do people use to record a game screen these days? I see it done quite often.

That's what I was going to do anyway, except now I can only do it to games that I play in, unless other people record them. The game keeps logs but there is no way to replay them, so I can't discuss other people's games. It is more restrictive this way

Camtasia might do what you want.  There is a free trial version.

I personally would enjoy watching a good video of a guy playing mule... but not to improve my 'strageties' more just a guy trash talking the computer... followed by distressed silence when things don't go his way.

Have you seen Eagle vs. Shark? Kiwi film.. there's a video game-off at the animal party and the guy in the pig head costume is awesome... I'm surprised that MULE hasn't featured in some dorky film already Smiley KIP is probably playing it in Napoleon Dynamite when he claims to have been chatting online with hot babes.. all day.

Well what I was originally hoping for was to watch videos of someone else's game and give commentary. It is a lot more interesting when you don't know the outcome of the game and can speculate on what is happening before the game ends. If anyone wants to record their games and send me particularly interesting ones I would like to try commenting on them and putting them on my youtube account.
