26 years ago I was playing M.U.L.E on an Atari 800...

...here we go again, 26 years on thanks to something called "The Internet" (didn't know what that was back then). Looking forward to playing the new version!

I also played on the C64 - never got to try it against any humans - until now!

It may have been made for the Atari, but I bet more people payed it on the C64.

There's a reason the game happens on the planet IRATA and not the planet ERODOMMOC. Ozark Softscape loved them some Atari 400/800 and we are all better for it.

It was actually originally made for the Atari 400/800, which is why it supports 4 players.

I too first played this game on the Commodore 64, when I was about 6 or 7. I still play it solo once in a while on emulators, even though it's about 100 times better with live humans. Smiley

I had an Atari 800xl and a C64 and C128 and remember playing the game many many times back in the day. I look forward to giving this one a try... This is one of my top 5 C64 games along with Sword of Fargoal, Reach for the Stars, Modem Wards, and Omega.

Man, I loved that box art. I kinda wish this game's art was based on that aesthetic.

Yeah. I'd love to have that machine and M.U.L.E. with it though there was some (bug) fixes (correct me if I'm wrong) for C64 version? Only big annoyance for the C64 version is that two of the players need to work the auction from the keyboard from utterly strange keys. We do play it still though. Normally as a warm up for our Activision's Decathlon tournaments.

This version is the best one (other than horrible bugs and async the break most games).

I love it!.

Yeah but even your Wampus was inferior...just look!   Wink Cheesy

Seriously, I have loved this game since my beloved C64 Christmas gift 24 years ago.  I am so happy to be able to play it with friends I have cultivated, from primary school and from college, far flung across the earth.  Kudos to the developers!
