With the release of the hosting Bot software this week I will be shutting down the hosting bots

Thank-you to all the good players that have expressed interest in acquiring the software.   Expect a PM early this week with download details.

The bots have hosted 11000 games and I believe it is time to pass the torch to other well qualified hosts

So does this mean people will be able to host games without reconfiguring routers etc?

sjleader,

No this has nothing to do with how Planet Mule hosts games.    The hosting software is being distributed to some very qualified players to host games automatically, this should expand the number of reliable hosts and make playing games easier.

Until we get more dependable hosts up, I will keep some of my Bots running.

Why take the bot games down at all?  Its nice to have the commands, recall of events etc plus the ratings, smurf check etc...

I'm still shy a few parts to get my hosting machine going.  (Actually the hosting machine is complete, but my new everyday computer is still waiting for a few missing parts and I ran out of money, lol, so I'm still using the hosting computer for daily work.  Can't dedicate it to hosting until I get those last few parts.)
