Training against AI, unfair time advantage

Hi,
I used to play MULE when I was a kid on my C64 and loved it. Just found out about Planet MULE, downloaded the client and been practicing (training) against AIs.
What I've noticed, and I don't remember if it was the same in the original, is that time is completely unbalanced between AIs and players. In one turn they can change MULEs on 4 or 5 plots of land, hunt the wampus, assay a plot or two and come back to the pub and win 186$. In that same amount of time I can, at best, put a new MULE on a plot, change another plot, do an assay and have barely time to get back to the pub, only to win 50$. I mean, shouldn't it be a bit more balanced ?
tnx

You can make it more realistic by going to settings and telling it to show computer development. That forces to go real time like a human player.
However, the AI is significantly more stupid in this version than it was on the C64.
Anyways, play some tourneys with some real players if you want, just remember, it takes 90 minutes and quitting mid game is very frowned up on. It doesn't take long to get a bad rep here if you drop out three or four times before you have 20 games under your belt.

Thanks for asking the question, I wondered about that myself.

Unfortunately, the AI is so awful, it does a poor job of preparing you for real competition. About all you'll get out of training is basic game mechanics and maybe some idea of the price flow.
But if you can't figure out how to trump the AI, you likely won't do better in real games anyway. AI is bad.

As many have pointed out, why does the AI assay 5 plots and then put down FOOD? Lol...
