I have played around 30 games and am still not all that good at this game. I still make a lot of bad choices and I still cant see all the possible outcomes of situations. I openly admit that I don't quite have the game down just yet. What I don't understand is getting called names like moron, idiot, douchebag etc... when I make a bad move. If I make a bad choice due in inexperience and it gives one of our fellow opponents an advantage, to me, that is just part of the game and no reason to start name calling. I know its the internet and that is what people do on the internet, risk free faceless name calling without the danger of repercussions, but the majority of the people playing on here are adults. We should be mature enough to not resort to boring insults. If people want to point out an error that is fine but you don't have to take it to a classless place. I don't mean to sound like my feelings get hurt as this is just a game and these are people I don't really know but I just look at stuff like that and feel like I am almost justified in my disgust at a good portion of the human race. What is ironic is that the one person I have talked to on here that is for sure 15 years old is well spoken, respectful and polite. I am all for a little ribbing for comedic purposes but can't we act like adults while we play a retro video game?

That's just the way it goes. Lots of people don't chat at all, a few will chat abusively. As you stated, it is the internet. No escape from that fact on Planet M.U.L.E. That's why I often don't look at chat at all, or else I only watch it & chat when I'm playing with people I know.

My advice: fullscreen all the time. So much easier to find that pesky Wampus.

If you think that, you haven't played with ZX81 yet. Grin Seriously, if you need to keep a blacklist containing info about players, do it. That way you can go throatcutter on those players in future games and those comments can make you laugh instead of offending while you watch them being crushed. >:3 Nyah-hahaha! (By doing that you might run the risk of gradually becoming a troll, so be careful.) =^?_?^=

Just take your time, whenever you do something that makes the game harder for the others, you have a good chance of being called something like that. Just keep a thing in mind for later: "Payback time".

My favorite is "Run Stubby Run!"  No, that's not name calling.  Just saying.

Dumb question.  How do you play in fullscreen mode?  I dont see the option.  Is it a bot command.  Thanks

I think the default Key is F5, but you can assign any key you want to toggle between fullscreen/windowed mode.

Speaking of fullscreen - I think they should put chat in the fullscreen mode, OR add a flag to players names in the chat list that shows if they are using fullscreen, so you don't feel like such an idiot for trying to talk to the people using it.

yup that sounds like a great idea, I switch constantly between full/window mode.  would be nice to have a small indicator to show when in full screen mode.  I'm thinking that would be easier than adding chat to full screen mode, but what do I know.

What I like most about playing in fullscreen mode is the very clean presentation of the game's action.

Please do not clutter up my fullscreen view by making chat visible. I like having the ability to make chat invisible for as long as I wish.

I think adding an indicator to the status area to show which players are in fullscreen mode is a fine idea.

Maybe an option to turn chat on and off too?

I guess. To me, switching from fullscreen to chat-screen serves that purpose as a side-effect of making things in the game area easier to see with my tired old eyes.

fire - please do not be discouraged by the actions of a few, in general, most the "vets" are decent and do not use harsh names (ZX excluded but that's just ZX), and will try to help you out.
Stay around long enough and you will find that most games have no issues HOWEVER, on occasion, you may have to tolerate an idiot to get a game in.
