The client always freezes at this point, whether I log in or play locally.

Looks like an intel video card with outdated drivers.

Is this an onboard card?  What brand computer, or custom build?

You can try going to Intels website and downloading the newest drivers for an...

Intel 965/963 Graphics Accelorator.

If you get an error installing because of having a customer driver provided by manufacture, I know how to get around that.  I had to do that to make it work on my Sony Vaio Notebook.  The latest drivers provided by Sony wouldn't run MULE and Intel's generic driver installer knew this was a custom licensed chip set for Sony and refused to install.

The work around is a manual driver install through update on device manager.  You just have to find the temp directory with the INF file that the installer unzipped the files to and install it that way (worked beautifully for me.)

My computer still has a minor issue with video, when it hits that connecting screen I have to hit the lobby tab and go back to the game tab before the game graphics will display, but then works fine all game.

Link to latest driver in Zip Format

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=17297&ProdId=2576&lang=eng

You have version 7.14.10.1409, very old driver, at least 3 years old.

7.15.10.1624 is the current this link points to, released about a year and a half ago.
