Seeing that my old thread of Noob Wednesdays died off when I left, I thought I would try to breathe some fresh life back into it! For all newbies (my target audience!), I will explain everything here, no use going and looking for the original thread, just relax ^_^

First, the content of the original thread, with corrections by me. This is just for the people who saw the original, if you want you can just skim over this and skip right to the FAQ:

Quote
1) Despite the name, anyone can join! This is meant to be a great way for players to introduce themselves to each-other and engage in humorous antics
2) Use constructive criticism! We understand you are the best MULE player ever, in the history of the universe, but no need to yell at little Timmy for picking the wrong mountain to hunt wampus at! Tell them what they did wrong, and how they can fix it!
3) Rooms will ALWAYS be titled "Noob Wednesday", nothing else! Accept no impostors, we are the real deal! All games entitled "Noob Wednesday" are considered valid parts of the meetups, given that the basic rules are being followed! More on this later on...
4) A sign up sheet will be kept in this thread, and as we play more and more games, I may start to track your stats, including how many meetings you attend! Silly, as you will see in a moment, as I have changed the basic idea of Noob Wednesday to be more friendly and inviting Smiley
5) For added fun, to sign up, pick a role from the list below, and I will put you in
6) Admin status must be earned out of trust, and will give you an imaginary license and your name in this thread saying you can FLAUNT YOUR FANCY TITLE
7) Obvious from the name, meetings are every Wednesday... PERIOD!

NOTE: Positions have been removed at the moment while Noob Wednesday is initialized. They may or may not return Smiley

Alright, so now for clarifications, introductions, and the like. I find the best way to explain this is through song, but since I have a terrible singing voice, an FAQ will have to do  Wink

FAQ

What is Noob Wednesday?

Noob wednesday is a weekly meetup of Planet M.U.L.E. newbies and veterans to engage in casual and immature antics in the game, all the while learning valuable life skills like how to skin a wampus!

When is Noob Wednesday?

 Shocked

You really are a noob, aren't you Tongue

We meet every Wednesday, all different times. If you see a game called Noob Wednesday, and it is Wednesday, join it to participate!

Do I have to sign up?

Nope! Just join one of our games on Wednesday, and meet some new people! But it would be awesome if you would like to introduce yourself on this thread  Cheesy

I am a MULE veteran, but I would love to teach some noobs the ropes in a friendly and casual meetup. Can I join?

YES! As long as you aren't talking down to people, or just plain DOMINATING, we would love to have you  Cheesy

WHERE ARE THE TITLES?

I might bring them back eventually, but for now, they seem to take away from the casual-ness of Noob Wednesdays

Can I start a Noob Wednesday game?

Yes! But, before creating a game, check the following:

1. Is there an empty Noob Wednesday game waiting to be filled? If so, slow down, and wait for that game to be filled, or, even better, join in!
2. Are any of the people in the lobby interested in joining your game? If not, post here and we can try and pull together a quick roll call Smiley
3. IS IT WEDNESDAY? VERY IMPORTANT, PEOPLE!

Should my games be under "Training" or "Tournament"?

It is up to you, but keep in mind that us noobs are rather fond of training Smiley

I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION PLEASE HELP

THAT WAS NOT A QUESTION. And if you have any other questions, post them here and I will be happy to get back to you with a response Smiley

Happy noob-ing, everyone!

Other than the term "noob," I think this is great. If I'm around on Wednesday, I would gladly like to help teach, host, et cetera.

Great! I look forward to seeing you soon! I just played my first game in a while, and I think, judging by the results, that I could use your help just as much as the other newbies  Wink

A quick note to all potential game starters: If you are having trouble getting people to join your game, post about it here, and maybe we can organize it for you! Just post the time (Irata time) and date that you would like to start the game, and we can try to rally up some players Smiley

This Wednesday probably wont be a big turn out because it is on VERY short notice Tongue

Next wednesday, hopefully this thread will be a bit more full, and then we can enjoy some real noob gaming ACTION ^_^
