4  Planet Mule 2 / Ideas / RAISE FOOD PRICE CEILING on: January 18, 2010, 16:20

what about if we raised the high for food price, for example i had 3 river plots and there was a shortage of food.  it went to about 128 and then the next round it went to like 80 even though there was still a shortage and i sold one for like 200.   i asked one of the players if that was normal in the original game and they said yes. he said it always would go down after it went to the highest of 128. woulndt it be fair to let food rise to 250?  it even spoils and is harder to make a great profit on!

is 128 the highest food will go?

6  Planet Mule 1 / Strategy Guides / Re: Global and Personal Events (Kroah 4.4.3, 4.6) on: January 15, 2010, 18:10
I think the land should stay the same in case of a smithore war
7  Planet Mule 2 / Ideas / Re: Expanded global events on: January 15, 2010, 02:03
although usually in the later rounds your too busy changing over to crystite but sometimes that 400 $ mule sometimes would be the difference in victory or defeat

i believe you are correct
9  Planet Mule 2 / Ideas / Re: Expanded global events on: January 13, 2010, 23:13
thats not good , in the original he would appear on any mountain regardless of if a plot was filled up....would be nice if we could fix that and maybe put an event where he takes money from the leader.  he has to get his money from somewhere to always have a treasure chest Smiley

prankster wumpas!  his revenge lol,  does it seem like its harder to catch him in the later rounds or is that just because hes harder to see with all the plots filled up in this new game
11  Planet Mule 1 / Planet M.U.L.E. 1 Discussion / Re: MERGED: Overall Speed of Play (poll) on: January 10, 2010, 20:56
i agree with zack i want to see what the other person in the lead is doing before i take my turn.  1.5hrs with 4 players is acceptable
12  Planet Mule 1 / Planet M.U.L.E. 1 Discussion / Re: Collusion: Can/Should It Be Restored? on: January 10, 2010, 20:53
i think the game is fine without collusion

It's running just fine on my Acer Aspire 1... what netbook are you using?

My only objection is that due to the way the screen is laid out, there's no way to see the chat window, in that 1024x600 display.  If only it could be configured so the chat was on the right.  This would be outstanding for full-screen mode.

Mid-game, it's chugging along at 10-20% CPU, even during the AI's turns, with occasional brief spikes to 50%, which I think are coming during certain sound effects.

Have you tried playing it with the sound off?

hey i have an acer aspire one that i play on and with this utility a1ctl i can change to a higher resolution to see the chat screen .....see some quotes from a website below

FAN AND CPU CONTROL:

There are two good applications to control fan control - AA1 fan control (google it for links) and A1CTL. However, only one controls the CPU speed too (A1CTL)

I recommend everyone use A1CTL as it is a much more powerful utility. It allows you to set when the fan is off, when the fan is on low (AA1 doesn't allow this) and when the fan is on full power. Alongside this, it also allows CPU throttling - so that when you are on battery power it will restrict the CPU to 800Mhz (highly recommended). This results in the advertised 3 hours battery life! It also allows you to turn on and off Aspire One components and fiddle with the screen settings (for those that really need more than 600 pixels. Oh, and interestingly it fixed the HDD clicking sound some (including myself) have seen on some of these laptops (its due to poor hdd memory management and can be disabled with this app).

Firstly, A1CTL has a homepage at http://nodadev.wordpress.com/ - you can download the application at http://noda.free.fr/dev/a1ctl_v0.4.rar ... you'll need winrar (www.rarlabs.com) to open it - and extract the files to c:a1ctl

Once downloaded, you'll need to install this runtime: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=25437D98-51D0-41C1-BB14-64662F5F62FE&displaylang=en

Now, try running c:a1ctla1ctl.exe - if it gives you a .ocx error, follow the instructions here:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/faqshow.php?id=8 - after registering the .ocx file you'll be able to run a1ctl.exe

Now, it will ask you to patch the ACPIEC - i cannot remember what this does but I think its a good thing (read more on the net - you can always undo it later). Once the application is running, click on it in the system tray, and choose Configure.

if you need the .ocx google search it and you can downloadit from microsoft
14  M.U.L.E. Community / General Discussion / Re: Atari or C64? on: January 09, 2010, 11:10
i grew up playing the c-64 version but like  the atari version better because of 4 joysticks.  however the atari has the glitch when you buy land if you are the first person in the lead and you hold up the whoe way you can buy it for whatever you have left in money!  i think the c-64 version has better sound and graphics when things like pest attack happen, but i like the atari mountains that move in a planet quake
