kipley: Howdy bloodstock

bloodstock: Hey

anubis34 visits

bloodstock: Just starting out

kipley: I see you abandoned the only game you've played... do you intend to stick around to finish this game?

bloodstock: YES

kipley: Takes about 90 minutes to finish.

bloodstock: internet problems

kipley: Alrighty, if you intend to play to the end, then... welcome!

bloodstock: Whats the wait

kipley: Waiting for some more human players to join

bloodstock: oooo PRO's ONLY

bloodstock: what should my ping be?

kipley: I don't care if they're pros or beginners... but any humans are better than the computer AI players

bloodstock: it says 62

kipley: 62 is nice and fast, you should be fine

bloodstock: Someone was complaining my FIRST game but then I claimed a crytals boulder plot and all hell broke loose

kipley: Some people like to complain about just about anything

bloodstock: I KNOW

bloodstock: my ping is now 80

kipley: It'll tend to vary a bit. As long as you're under 200, you're fine.

bloodstock: NOT a comp GEEK

bloodstock: Although I have played this game 1000000 times on an Atari 400

bloodstock: o lower is better

kipley: Yep, I played it on the Atari 800.

bloodstock: how old r u

kipley: 39

bloodstock: 46

bloodstock: got my 400 for a hs grad present

bloodstock: This is the 2nd best game. Wolfenstein is by far the BEST

kipley: Yep, I remember Wolfenstein 3D. But never played the even earlier 2D versions of Wolfenstein.

bloodstock: Could have been 1D, nothing like the early 80's games

bloodstock: Man your 4th

kipley: Just means I've played a lot

kipley: Score is primarily games won, nothing to do with how tough the games were

kipley: It's not an ideal ranking system

bloodstock: I just forgot some things, it will come back to me fast

bloodstock: How much longer are we gonna wait?

kipley: It can take a while to get 4 humans, I'm afraid.

kipley: And I'm not interested in playing with 2 AI players

bloodstock: A gullimer, LMFAO

kipley: I can stand one computer player, but 2 makes for a boring game.

bloodstock: anything else I should know for the setup

kipley: Hopefully not

bloodstock: The said in the last game I had a lag time

bloodstock: I guess the host can boot ya

kipley: Your lag will be worse depending on where the host computer is.

kipley: I'm in Texas.

bloodstock: location or connection or Both

bloodstock: Virginia

kipley: If you were playing a European host, that would explain your poor lag in the other game.

kipley: You should be fine here, your ping is low enough.

bloodstock: maybe, unfimiliar with the players

bloodstock: Pretty rude people, had to be americans

kipley: Heh.

kipley: Well, the host could have been European and the others Americans.

bloodstock: Sorry I have thick skin born in NY

bloodstock: Not really into online games

bloodstock: but love MULE

MuleyMan visits

MuleyMan: hi

kipley: Howdy

bloodstock: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

kipley: bloodstock is new to this version, but has played a lot on the old Atari version.

MuleyMan: orange avail?

kipley: Nah, I prefer orange too, I'm afraid!

MuleyMan: kk

MuleyMan: grape ape then plz

Added computer player <J.I.M.>

anubis34 joined the game in slot 4

<J.I.M.> was kicked

kipley: Oh wait, anubis grabbed grape...

kipley: Ok, you can have orange

MuleyMan: lol

MuleyMan: ty

kipley unjoined the game

MuleyMan joined the game in slot 1

kipley joined the game in slot 3

MuleyMan: gla

kipley: Anything to get a game going

kipley: Have fun, everyone

bloodstock: IRATA LMFAO

Round 1 of 12

kipley: weird lag

bloodstock: see if it's me

MuleyMan: went to an Atari swap meet today in Columbus ohio

MuleyMan: saw old friends, sold a little and saw come cool shit!

kipley: Cool

MuleyMan: saw mule on a supercartridge playing on a 5200

kipley: I didn't know they made mule for the 5200

kipley: But then, I never knew much about that model

MuleyMan: not sure how that worked

MuleyMan: told everyone to come to PM tho

MuleyMan: whats your ping BS

kipley: He was in the 60-80 range earlier

bloodstock: 62

Round 2 of 12

MuleyMan: NICE!!!

bloodstock: Why am I lagging?

kipley: It may not be you, anyone can affect it

bloodstock: F****** I thought I was purple

kipley: That is indeed unfortunate

bloodstock: Can I re catch my mule and refit him

MuleyMan: ya

kipley: yes

Round 3 of 12

kipley: urgh, lag almost made me lose my plot choice

bloodstock: is it you or me lagging

kipley: could be any of us

kipley: all it takes is one player to have difficulty with one packet, and the game can pause for a bit

MuleyMan: lag spots at the wrong time can be nerve racking

bloodstock: how do you get those wampuses

kipley: with your low ping, it's not likely you

MuleyMan: not sure if u gettin the plot b4, should let go,

kipley: When you see the wampus, run up to his location and press space. He doesn't have to be visible to catch him.

MuleyMan: comes out on unchosen plots only

kipley: And it's easy to be a couple pixels off when trying to catch him, so wiggle around the area while pressing space.

bloodstock: ty

bloodstock: sorry

Round 4 of 12

MuleyMan: get a plot

bloodstock: parched

bloodstock: figures the host get a care package

MuleyMan: kip? is title of game takeoff from starwars?

kipley: yep

MuleyMan: look for blue square flashing

kipley: I first started it with "TheseAre"... but the title got clipped, so shortened it to fit

MuleyMan: cool lol

kipley: crystite varies randomly between 48 and 148, FYI

Round 5 of 12

MuleyMan: kip's porn download must have just finished?

kipley: Not running any other network apps

bloodstock: is this game going normal SPEED WISE

MuleyMan: close any browsers too

MuleyMan: it is now

kipley: Not running any other network apps, including browsers

kipley: My config has not changed since game start

kipley: So either one of y'alls did, or it's just random internet voodoo magic

MuleyMan: sounds good to me

bloodstock: WTF happened to all the mules

kipley: Store had no smithore to make any more

kipley: Now it does

bloodstock: does now

kipley: So there will be more mules next turn

bloodstock: forgot about that

kipley: Folks tend to like to make the store run out periodically, because that spikes the price of smithore higher.

kipley: Profit

MuleyMan: and "some" people are just plain mean! lol

bloodstock: I need food stamps

kipley: You need a food plot! ;-)

MuleyMan: u need a free plot

bloodstock: Go call ENRON

Round 6 of 12

kipley: setup a food plot

kipley: on the river

kipley: that's all you'll have time to do

MuleyMan: lol

MuleyMan: your "other" river

kipley: river would have been better for the food, but at least you got something going

kipley: You may want to move it over to the river next turn

kipley: Now you'll have time to move your food plot to the river, and do some other development

kipley: I don't NEED energy... so I'm not going to pay much more than that...

kipley: People will pay more when they have a shortage

Round 7 of 12

bloodstock: I need a mule that will mine uranium, I'll sell it to Iraq

kipley: Or you could play Civilization, and do that...

kipley: 120 is above the average price for crystite... risky to buy it at that price

kipley: especially since the pirates can come again

kipley: people usually only buy if crystite is less than 100

bloodstock: Just playing for practice

bloodstock: Game 1 for me, like u cant tell

kipley: just trying to give you some helpful tips

bloodstock: O I know thanks

Round 8 of 12

bloodstock: dont really matter at this point

bloodstock: great no more mules

bloodstock: I'm gonna free all my mules, poor guys

anubis34: i know, i hate when thay run away like that

bloodstock: mules are peolpe too

anubis34: yes, must be free

bloodstock: what gives you more time

kipley: food

kipley: If you have a shortage of food, you have less time to act

MuleyMan: some of your stuff didnt produce from an energy shortage

kipley: I know you're just messing around, bloodstock... but please don't do anything too weird

kipley: for example, if you buy crystite for a huge price, you basically hand the game to MuleyMan...

bloodstock: Im gonna be real friendly

MuleyMan: i vote for booting the other 2 kip

kipley: Just don't be so friendly that you unbalance the game... the rest of us are having fun trying to win

Round 9 of 12

bloodstock: Fun winning, I'm still scratching my head on that one

kipley: You'll get there. It takes a few games to pick up how things flow, and some of the subtler strategies

bloodstock: I'm coming off a 25 year lay off

bloodstock: Just noticed the time bar b4 u start

MuleyMan: when last person hits button to start next round, hold button to get plot!

MuleyMan: when 3 or less plots left

bloodstock: thanks

kipley: Sell!

kipley: 148 is as high as it goes

MuleyMan: sell

MuleyMan: dont buy

Round 10 of 12

MuleyMan: stop it

kipley: I'm not going to take advantage of that

bloodstock: GEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

kipley: You'd basically be giving me free money, I don't want to win that way

Round 11 of 12

MuleyMan: that quake hit him too? wow

kipley: yeah, bad luck for anubis

kipley: losing 2 plots in the quake is like the 2nd worst thing that can happen in this game

anubis34: funny wont tale the advantage, but you will take the plot he sold

bloodstock: I'll make it fair, I'll sell some more

kipley: Hey, I PAID for that plot... and you all had equal chance to pay more if you wanted to

kipley: But the energy would have been free, uncontested money for nothing

bloodstock: and your chicks for free

MuleyMan: bloodstock! reputation is really important at Planet Mule! get a bad one, and noone will play with you!

anubis34: still one of the unwriten rules (never sell plots) also almost no one ever but the plot

kipley: I dunno about never selling plots... I can think of situations (albeit weird ones) where it would make sense to do so

anubis34: fine have you ever sold a plot?

anubis34: mm?

kipley: Not in a real game, no

MuleyMan: selling plots usually is a noob being taken advantage of!

anubis34: yes, you know that the land is more than money

MuleyMan: never sold but bought 1 once by accident

bloodstock: I'm sure yall did real good your FIRST GAME

kipley: Than y'all should have paid more for it than I did

bloodstock: WOW, It's a freaking GAME

anubis34: blood this is number two for you

Round 12 of 12

bloodstock: sorry I got booted the 1st game, was doing too good

anubis34: let me see did you sell plots

MuleyMan: magic 12?

anubis34: thanks to dumbblood

MuleyMan: did he sell plots?

kipley: Nah, I was way too slow in converting over

anubis34: i plot by the river

anubis34: the plot

anubis34: his 1st food

MuleyMan: 2 funny

bloodstock: goodbye mules

bloodstock: Free at last

kipley: press space, please

bloodstock: Pulling for kipley, at least he/she helped me some

kipley: Good game, everyone

MuleyMan: ty4hosting kipley

kipley: No problemo

kipley: Hmmm... going to be a close finish

kipley: Math's too hard for me to do on the fly

bloodstock: I think I won LMAO

MuleyMan: i win every game bs

MuleyMan: secret recipe

MuleyMan: lern alot blood?

bloodstock: At least my mules are free

bloodstock: yeah u guys are cut throats
