caboosesw: we can always go two computers if no one else joins

tiffanyelizabeth: Ok.

caboosesw joined the game in slot 2

tiffanyelizabeth: Let me check the lobby. One guy's been inactive all night. Not sure about the other.

Added computer player <A.L.A.N.>

tiffanyelizabeth: No interest in the lobby, so I guess we'll go 2 AI.

Added computer player <B.I.L.L.>

Round 5 of 12

tiffanyelizabeth: That investment rarely pays off.

caboosesw: gotta try

caboosesw: gotta learn :)

caboosesw: this is my first time playing in 25 years :)

tiffanyelizabeth: I had the NES version I got from a flea market about 17 years ago. Gotta relearn a lot of things.

caboosesw: i hated that version compared to the c64

caboosesw: don't know why though

Round 6 of 12

tiffanyelizabeth: NES was my only option. By the time I got a C64 the disk drive was shot and you couldn't get cartridges for it.

tiffanyelizabeth: Got me into programming, though. I kind of miss the BASIC language.

caboosesw: basic was good

caboosesw: pascal was awesome

caboosesw: as was assembler if you had the patience!

tiffanyelizabeth: I missed out on that. I was learning BASIC when it was already all but obsolete, then moved to C++.

caboosesw: i went from pascal/assembler to clipper/foxpro ... professionally

tiffanyelizabeth: My brother was always getting onto me for using goto, but I don't know that you could even create functions on the C64.

Round 7 of 12

tiffanyelizabeth: Sometimes if he's visiting and watches me work I'll throw a goto in C++ just to get on his nerves.

caboosesw: you still a codeR?

tiffanyelizabeth: Yes, but truth be told I can't do a thing without a library. I couldn't even render a triangle if I didn't use the OGRE graphics engine.

caboosesw: i never did graphic stuff

caboosesw: i guess A.L.A.N. hit the motherload :)

tiffanyelizabeth: I do games, mostly. Almost to the demo stage of my most ambitious one.

caboosesw: professionally?

tiffanyelizabeth: Indie at the moment. Hoping it will do well on the shareware market.

caboosesw: iphone apps seem to be a great market

caboosesw: i just bought an ipad to code an old game i did on the trs-80 coco

tiffanyelizabeth: Can't afford an iPhone to test them.

caboosesw: did= had

caboosesw: sorry

caboosesw: ipod touch is the same

caboosesw: outside of wireless

Round 8 of 12

tiffanyelizabeth: Can't even afford that. Been out of work for going on a year. That's why I decided to take game development from hobby to side job.

caboosesw: ouch

caboosesw: what happened?

caboosesw: what were you doing before?

caboosesw: where do you live?

tiffanyelizabeth: Missouri. Some punk kid wanted to get his buddy on where I was working so he did a bit of sabotage to get me fired.

tiffanyelizabeth: Where are you from?

caboosesw: maryland

caboosesw: how do you get by?

caboosesw: savings?

tiffanyelizabeth: Unemployment. I only claim when I have need to, so I've been stretching it out pretty well.

caboosesw: gotcha

caboosesw: didn't know you could do that

tiffanyelizabeth: I'd say the AI will be first and second at this rate.

Round 9 of 12

tiffanyelizabeth: We're going to be lucky if the colony isn't considered a failure.

caboosesw: what is that criteria?

tiffanyelizabeth: At least 60,000 in combined assets from all players.

caboosesw: not looking good

tiffanyelizabeth: The smithore crash came a lot later than I thought it would.

Round 10 of 12

tiffanyelizabeth: Yup, we're hosed. You'll probably come in third and I'll be last yet again.

Round 11 of 12

caboosesw: if we are above 70,000 why are you worried?

caboosesw: again, this is my first game in 25 years ...

tiffanyelizabeth: My first in a while. Never been good at economics, though.

tiffanyelizabeth: I don't mind losing to another player, but it's embarassing to lose to the computer.

tiffanyelizabeth: Live comfortably. Pretty good considering I was thinking tents.

caboosesw: it's all about crystite

caboosesw: and only one pirate trip

caboosesw: good game

tiffanyelizabeth: You too.

caboosesw: i wish you well and hope to play with you again

caboosesw: NO GOTOS :)

tiffanyelizabeth: Only problem is, when you find out where the crysite is the computer lays claim to the land.

tiffanyelizabeth: Crysite is a hit or miss thing for human players.
