C.H.A.S. visits
C.H.A.S. joined the game in slot 3
C.H.A.S.: add comp n go?
Variance: How many in lobby?
Variance: Noone really
kipley: I'm good with AI, how bout you Variance?
Variance: Sure
Added computer player <B.I.L.L.>
Variance: If it starts from the beginning it won't be as bad as last game
Round 1 of 12
Variance: slow start on your farm there
Round 2 of 12
Round 3 of 12
Variance: can you get two in one turn?
Variance: wampuses
kipley: nope
Variance: didn't think so
Variance: ...
kipley: ouch
Variance: heh
C.H.A.S.: button
Variance: This is what it must feel like for a cow to be milked
Variance: hungry
Variance: That shouldn't have happened, I lost my power
Round 4 of 12
Variance: wow....
C.H.A.S.: med
Variance: How much will i need to pay you guys for power this time around?
kipley: A bit
Variance: The AI might help
Variance: heh
Round 5 of 12
Round 6 of 12
Variance: lucky timing
Round 7 of 12
Variance: How is the AI in first place again?
kipley: it had the most smithore to sell
Variance: I guess, it's just ridiculous how good it is
Variance: If they ever found out about crystite Ais would win every game
kipley: The AI is good at tactics, but terrible at overall strategy
Variance: Sounds like me with how I take first place for a few rounds and then die
kipley: I try NOT to be in first place early on in the game. The bad events can really hurt you in the early game. Better to try and sneak into the lead at the end.
Variance: Yeah...I've gotta improve my overall strategy fkr the long term
Variance: You get into crystite early, and since you don't need to overdo buying absurd amounts of ore, you can be more stable with food and stuff
kipley: It takes a experience to get a feel for how various goods' prices will ebb and flow throughout the game. And then get ahead of the buying curve. It comes with practice.
kipley: I used to get into smithore early all the time. But the problems with going smithore heavy right off the bat are:
kipley: It puts you in the lead early, giving you more bad events
Round 8 of 12
Variance: I feel you on that one
kipley: It forces you to work with no money early on, which makes you pass by cheap land auctions (along with other difficulties)
Variance: That too, definitely
Variance: You probably also miss out on establishing power and food stuffearly
kipley: Plus, if you can be behind after the first smithore spike, you can be in position to win the tiebreak and be the one to buy out the store for the second smithore spike.
Variance: Yeah, and there'll be more ore the second time around to buy
kipley: Yep. You can cash in bigger on the second smithore spike, if things work out well
Variance: Wow, lucky
Variance: come on
Variance: there we go, thanks
kipley: nice job
Variance: Yeah, third spike is a comin
kipley: Okaaayyyyy....
Variance: lol
Round 9 of 12
Variance: eh?
kipley: It's like you're solving a puzzle up there
Variance: Yeah, i'm trying to have things adjacent but i want ot cluster the smithore things nicely too
Variance: lol
Variance: could have been worse
kipley: it was due
kipley: Well done, guys
Variance: yeh
Variance: ooooohhh
Variance: 12 spoiled\
Round 10 of 12
Variance: hah, you're going for it
Variance: I wwanted to
kipley: Oh CHAS....
Variance: You might not make it
C.H.A.S.: he aint budging
Variance: The problem is that when we dash or the lines the lowest rank is served first
Round 11 of 12
Variance: Or position in the game, I should say
kipley: Well, it's kind of the whole game design. Everything is designed to hurt the leader. Makes it interesting, as then it becomes an advantage to not be in the lead
Variance: Chas set the mules free
Variance: Yeah, it's hard leading
Variance: Does the AI winning affect your rankings?
kipley: FYI, it's really hard to spike smithore prices on round 12
Variance: This is an experiment more than anything
kipley: You can do it... but you not only have to empty the store of mules, you also need to release some mules from your plots, so they're undeveloped, so the store sees a demand for more mules (and raises the price)
Variance: Chas, if you help release mules from the store and our food plots we can pull it off
Variance: and our energy plots if you save up that much energy
Round 12 of 12
kipley: This will be an interesting experiment. I'm rooting for you!
Variance: The rankings have solidified enough that it's really just that, an experiment
Variance: This might work
kipley: I think you may be hurt by the fact that there's still some mules left in the store, unfortunately
kipley: But we'll see
Variance: There's as many empty plots as mules
kipley: true
Variance: Uh
kipley: You got it to go up a little
Variance: What was the price we bought at?
Variance: 90 i think
Variance: not abd
kipley: but not enough to make it a great victory
kipley: But it was a good try
Variance: If we had one more round it would've been amazing
Variance: bad crystal price though
kipley: You made it worth more than crystite, at least
C.H.A.S.: dont sell wastes time
Variance: I know, it's instinctiive from the games where stupid people buy low on the 12th round
kipley: actually, bumping smithore may make the computer win! lol
Variance: Yeah, actually, lol
Game Over
Saving score, please wait...
Score saved
kipley: the low crystite gives it a chance.
kipley: But no
Variance: Close
kipley: Got him close
kipley: Good game, everyone, it was fun
C.H.A.S. left the game
Variance: Awwwwright
C.H.A.S. was disconnected
Variance: good game
