Manored: My plan was to take a lot of river plots and waste then with energy
Manored: to force food prices up by having little offer

Manored: only things left are ore and crys
Manored: so ore is awesome on beggining and so so good on end
Manored: crys is somewhat constant
CXZman: I saw some games properly driven so nrg got to a crazy price
CXZman: but like a lot of situations, you hve to bet on your opponents mistakes
Manored: ah, yes, this is a very tricky game
CXZman: wich is most of the time a BAD idea :)
Manored: its not just your competence that matters, but also your knowledge of others and your ability to handle the unespected
CXZman: that game, we underestimated nrg productio, ata very late game stage

CXZman: if too much food is produce, price don't get that high
CXZman: even if it's only you
Manored: yeah, but it ensures you will have food

Manored: and if nobody else does the same, you can sell for a decent price to others
Manored: but that should be all the food you make
Manored: 3 river plots as a waste, two would have been fine I think
CXZman: smithore is a "less" needed good
CXZman: most of the players WILL build nrg and food just for themself
zuzek: but smithore is important to produce mules
Manored: yeah
zuzek: no smithore = no mules
Manored: one of the toughest parts of the game is start
CXZman: yep, but only player x2 smith ore is needed
Manored: if you start on ores you may be ripped off
Manored: if you start on food/energy you may fall behind
CXZman: you always rpoduce tons of it, you just wait the rght moment to sell

CXZman: i really get crazy at the end, where there's nothing to buy, no plots left
Manored: yeah, you have to maximize what you have
CXZman: with the "how can I get 5000 points out of my shit to kick my opponent wh'os 1st ?" problem
zuzek: yes, it might be difficult close to the end
Manored: that involves managing food and energy over rounds and trading mules really fast
zuzek: if you can't change your production
Manored: sometimes I get lost and end up doing epic runs like that 3 diagonals =)
CXZman: start really aims at rushing on plots that interst you and surviving
