Leofwynn: Well, since the late 80's I've played a table top RPG called Champions / Hero System. Super hero characters.
Leofwynn: One of my GMs had MULE on his old ATARI and we used to play it.
Leofwynn: Was estatic to find this version of it.
Leofwynn: Everyone else in the house thinks I'm nuts.
Leofwynn: I can wait a little longer but then I need to get some sleep

Leofwynn: My daughters are interested in game design
AlpenCactus: yeah, it's very popular with young people
Leofwynn: Yeah, but I ended up shutting down the site when I closed my business. :)
AlpenCactus: hope they pursue it -- need more female programmers : )
Leofwynn: Well, both are artists and gamers, but I tell them, it's a hard field to get into.
Leofwynn: Doubly so if you are a woman.
AlpenCactus: very competitive -- especially starting out
Leofwynn: I have suggested that they consider a Fine Art degree as a fall back.
AlpenCactus: have to do a lot for free usually
Leofwynn: But, they are teenagers and it falls on deaf ears.
AlpenCactus: fortunately, there are a lot of related fields that are easy to shift into
AlpenCactus: adding some design to their studies and project management would be good, i think
AlpenCactus: wish i were starting out again : )
Leofwynn: I'll remember to suggest that when they go to get a degree
Leofwynn: right now we need to figure out how we are going to pay for college
