Obamanator: suprised no eurpeans on now

Obamanator: should of seen a beauty that cyber pulled on me last night.

Obamanator: round 11, i spiked ore so took out my food plots knowing that there is 30 in the store for 100 a shot.

Obamanator: cyber had a chance to win, but instead of going for the win, he decided to buy all the food and spend 3k on it round 11, just so i will have no food and change my plots. So we both lose and buzz wins

Obamanator: what kind of a guy does that shit?

Rhodan: no nice way to put it

Rhodan: he is a idiot

Rhodan: he is nice guy finishes games but when it comes to playing well he is dumb

Rhodan: he plays so bad i try to avoid playing with him

Obamanator: ya, he finishes games, but likes to screw over people as well

Obamanator: the good thing is he makes up most of my wins, but really will try to avoid playing him

Obamanator: he accounts for most of Mulesballs wins also, it is why he climbed up so fast in rankings

Rhodan: i am about 50/50 with him. he screws me out of the win about half the time

Rhodan: the competition is weak during their play time

Obamanator: yes, i noticed that.

Obamanator: you changed up your game lately, noticed you start off with food pots more often now.

Rhodan: i maintain a 40% win and i always seek out the toughest opponents, where as players like gohar grandpappy will pick the easy games first

Rhodan: that was my old strategy before rd one plot auction

Obamanator: ya i noticed that. I enjoy playing you, always a challenge

Rhodan: gone back to it so i have more options first rd.

Rhodan: gives you quicker recovery if you win rd one land auc

Obamanator: right, makes sense

Rhodan: if very few 3 mts i will select mts instead of river

Rhodan: mainly loose games due to ore

Rhodan: will sell ore off hoping for land auc then no land then run on ore and i am caught with no ore or land advantage

Obamanator: ya, that is were the luck element comes into play, everyone goes ore, so I go tite and you are totally in the hands of lady luck with pirates, or tite prices

Rhodan: then soon as go ore, stite prices stay 130 and no quakes or pirates

Rhodan: if i go stite then quakes, pirates and low stite price

Rhodan: so now i just try to hang onto some ore in the later rds even if it means missing a land auction

Obamanator: ya, that is where the strat comes into play, picking your battles

Rhodan: missing out on early rd ore spike doesnt hurt because then you force those guys to pay 3k for land

Rhodan: so it evens out

Rhodan: its that rd 7 to 10 ore spike when you can buy 50 from the store that hurts

Obamanator: ya exactly...but if you have a dummy player in the game, it screws that up..they wont buy land if too high price

Rhodan: yes a bunch of them dont understand land balance

Rhodan: dont select to many rivers dont pass on land if its cheap enough otherwise you are giving one of your opponents the advantage with more mining plots or more plots in general

Obamanator: or buying land to change their rank position..that is the real reason to do it.

Obamanator: going broke on land to get from 1st place to last is a concept weak players never get

Rhodan: yep

Rhodan: its hard to judge the value you will get out of a plot after rd 8

Rhodan: i usually calculate 400 per plot per rd plus the 500 value of the plot to decide if the price is worth it.

Obamanator: well depends if it makes your 9 + mining and if it puts into low position for buying food and energy

Rhodan: yep if you are not going to hit 11 plots and 9 mining the price of the plot goes up for you

Rhodan: lost quite a few games lately due to plot loss and unlucky land auctions and ending up with 10 plots

Obamanator: my track record with losing rnd 2 plot is pretty good though usually end up winning. It is losing plot in later rnds that can be devastating

Rhodan: exactly easy to recover the land when you loose it early

Rhodan: after rd 8 you are not getting it back

Obamanator: ya, and you cant plan for it..just a total loss like quake wiping out plots on 11

Rhodan: i wish they put all events back in except plot loss in rds 1-3 like the original

Rhodan: then we would have so many late rd quakes

Rhodan: rds 1-3 you only get sunspot, rain, pirates, fire

Obamanator: ya, that makes sense

Rhodan: wasnt like that in original any event but plot loss could occur any rd

Obamanator: i dont see pests and radiation happening alot early rnds though do you?

Rhodan: they are not allow rd 1 thru 3

Obamanator: ah, didnt know that

Rhodan: if i remember correcly

Obamanator: speaking about abandons, havent seen acavia for awhile. that was his specialty, if someone over produced him he would quit

Rhodan: i see him on but he has such a bad rep he can hardly get a game

Rhodan: there is another one who does almost the same but he very sly about it

Rhodan: gohar

Obamanator: ya, he would be a good player if he didnt care about rank so much

Rhodan: gohar has a 51% abandon rate

Obamanator: ya, he says connection problems..but I don't classify him as a very good player

Rhodan: but he is very polite in game and never says a word just boom he disconnects when loosing and everyone thinks he just lost connection

Obamanator: ya I noticed

Rhodan: i refuse to play him now. called him out on it and 3 times in a row and watch quit after i called him out in game

Obamanator: ya, i never seen gohar win...so his rank does not match his skill

Rhodan: he rarely wins when he chooses to play tougher compettion which he rarely does

Obamanator: well, looks like we will have to try later. be on in a bit

BuzZ: Everyone once in awhile they'll do a tweak if necessary, but it's pretty refined I think. Last I knew their focus was Mule 2

BuzZ: It is important to not have other things running while playing this game netplay though, understand?

mikkoaalto: It is important to raise price when there is auction so that nobody can buy 2 plots at same auction.

BuzZ: Probably a good idea, but that's the players perogative

mikkoaalto: If there is auction in the beginning, you can use 972$ but not more. Then you can still build food if you can catch the Wampus.

BuzZ: Have you played this version before?

SoldierAnt: yes, with bots
