There is a diffrence between trash talk (which really, I dont tolerate either since everyone I play with tend to be in good spirits with one another and only jokeingly trash talk from time to time), and total childish stupidity. 

Im here to have fun with everyone, cutthroat or not, not to discuss how bad of a day/life that person may be having.  If ya cant be a good sport, there is no point in playing...  Have coffee, smoke one, and chill the fuck out... We're all here to have a good time, not to demean someone who's hosting a game.

If the connection sucks, there could be many reasons, simply suck it up and refrain from joining that server again... Or host your own.   No need for idiocy like this.

Null what makes it so funny is that simplathebest and his other aliases uschi, akire1, etc is well known to be the biggest cheater planetmule has ever had.  He ALWAYS hosts, always picking off the new players who don't know not to play him.  He also always plays with 2 ai most the time and has caused many many new players never to play again.

So while sockmonkey is an offensive little twerp, with a severe form of internet tourettes......he is no simplathebest.

Either way they should both be on everyones no play list.

I follow you there brother.  I've seen that infamous foo pulling this tactic on unknowing players often in the recent past.  I've called him out on it, and now he doesnt jump into any of my games.  It's seldom that I will play with AI, and thats ONLY when no one is around to play or the players themselves all agree on it... Or as in most of our cases, when we dont have the choice from players dropping out of the game.

This is one of the reasons why I'd like to see abandon games deteriorate after a time.  I think about 95% of the abandoned games I have are from people dropping in the 1st few rounds, which seems to be happening quite a bit with new players.  This kinda makes me skittish about playing new people, but I hate to exclude new players as we were all there once and the good shouldnt suffer for the bad.  As far as smurfs are concerned.... hah!  Everyone is a smurf to me   I play old and new as though they were just as good as anyone else.  Doing less wouldnt be fair to them anyways as they should see what they're going to be up against in the future from day one.  Taking it easy on them wouldnt be fair to them anyways.  Soooooo... Everyone is a smurf in my book    Nothing personal.

Lets get a few things clear... I might have played 2 games on my friends account.  I was still a "newbie" at the time.  New to P.M. at the time, yes..   I am not a newbie by any stretch to online games.  I've probably spent 15 years on MMOs and longer with online games in general.  I think you have the wrong impression of something you "think" you know.  I might annoy you, but I've only played 1 game with you.  If you have such a strong impression on that, you seriously should look at how you view things.

Look chuckie,  I'm no youngin by any means.  If someone sends you something, then whatever is sent is pretty much fair game in my book to make a point about, be it possitive or negative towards the person sending.  If you assume someone is a newb, you are basicly profiling right off the bat.  Thats not cool.  What I meant by "everyone is a smurf" is, I dont believe it's fair to anyone to give someone a handout.  Why would you lessen then value of your own abilities by giving something away?  You would be no closer to winning any games if this was the case, because I run into new players all the time.  I gave no reason for anyone to assume that I was a "quiter".  I just expect the same respect that I freely give others.  If that respect is not givin, then I certainly will retract my own.  No one should assume that just because there is a problem durring a game that the problem lies with the new person.  Thats just making a bad assumption.  I might have been new to this version of M.U.L.E., but if you ever watched how I played, even on the first day, you would see that I was definatly no stranger to the game itself.  It was a bad call on someones part due to an honest mistake that was blown WAY out of proportion.  I dont see myself, now or ever, jumping in the forums and instantly pounding the new guy because of something like this.  I've had problems with new players and old players alike, just the same.  In either case, you wont find me making a post in the forums about them unless the issue is already brought up and it's been tried and true based on REPEATED actions.

What happen here, that upset me was this...   Not only did the person involved blow things out of proportion, but people... you... That never seen me before, never played me before, didnt know anything at all about me, instantly cornered and seemed to try to jump me out of no where.  You assumed I was a certain kind of person and that seriously offended me.... So.. Touche'   If you got edgy about it, sorry buddy, you stuck out first.  The proper thing might have been to just let it take it's tole and the people involved would have hashed it out.  If it were an issue with me, by all means... Strike as you will.  But you prematurely struck out to tell me how to play something I knew very well how to play the whole while.  It didnt come off as advice.  If it were based on something else, sure, advice is welcome.  Backin your boy, on the other hand was a pretty cheep spot.  Not saying he's your boy, but you quickly jumped to his aid without knowing my side of things.  Blind assumptions simply piss people off.

The problem was not yours to diffuse.  Besides, even if you felt that it was your place to do so, you could have at least taken the chance and the time to get the scoop from me or at least play me yourself to gather your own opinion.  Instead, you forced me to give you the opinion that I wanted to give you at that point.  That opinion I wanted you to have of me at that moment was... "You better leave this guy alone because he can be just as much a dick and much more so..."

I dont find myself "slowly learning" anything.  Remember, near my 40s, I've been there, done that, and dont need anyone to tell me how to enjoy my time nor what mistakes come with it.  If you were a friend, or hell, even an aquaintance, I would have just taken it for what it was.  But you didnt know me.  You already factored an opinion based on some loose information that wasnt even correct.  It was based off of someone missfortune, the same missfortune that all of us go through often durring the many games we play.  Someone just took it way too far because they might have been having a very bad day at that time.  This still does not stop me from playing new players.  I may be skittish, but I will never deny a new player on my serves, at least the first time.  After the first game I might then make a judgement call for future games played.  Still, you will not find me crying about it, nor will I ever call someone out on a first bad game, and I definatly will not send anyone personal messages, especially when I dont know them, unless it's for something constructive.  If someone needs advice, I try to do that prior to a game starting.  Though, I find that some people dont like that much either.  Just about every new player that I've offered advice to usually leaves before the game starts.  I'm thinking perhaps that they really are smurfs or just simply dont like to hear from another how a game might be best played.  Though again, I certainly didnt take your private message as that.  If it got you upset because the info was displayed, then from my experiance, people dont usually get upset over something "usefull" being put up publicly.  In that case, you should have looked at it as me giving up "usefull" information to other NEW players that happen to read the forums.  Instead you took it as a threat, so I treated your PM as the same.

I have nothing against you, nor do I find you annoying.. save now of course.  Face it, you do it to yourself mate.  If we rub each other wrong, it's because of your missconception.  I am always indiffrent.  Wether it be Akari or anyone else.  Now I will say again, this sockmonkey guy is a diffrent story.  Thats just idiocy at it's best.  To be honest, I never really cared who has what opinion of me on here or any other game for that matter.  It's just a game.  You're just a persona behind a handle.  Why would that bother me?

Sorry, I've worked in the medical field, and private is private is private, and there are no exceptions and I treat everything that way.  You pasted my PRIVATE email PUBLICLY.

That is and always has been my only one true beef with you, nothing more than that.

Before I paste what was stated in private, I ask permission of the person who said that, it actually is a written law in the legal and healthcare professions and I carry it into everything in life.

I dont see the medical field related to mule and forums in any way shape or form.  This is a game.  Know the diffrence.  I never accused you of being stupid as you say, if I'm not mistaken, it was you who called me an idiot, not the other way around.  Private messages might have that value to you, but it has nothing of value to me.  Private or public, it was addressed to me... You made a few yourself.

1.  You assumed the person who posted the public thread orignally complained to me.
2.  You assumed I was admin.
3.  You posted my email to try to make him look like the bad guy, and I had to stand up and point out, that he had little to do with my email to you, other than that in my mind, I saw what appeared to me to be him making a call out that I believed was incorrect.
4.  Was I sticking my nose in?  Yeah, but I didn't want anyone to feel on the spot, and that is why I sent a private message.  To me private messages are like mail in the mail box.  It's illegal to open other peoples mail without their consent and illegal to share the contents without their consent, so even if my private email was in the wrong, you posting it publicly, instead of responding privately was even more wrong.

You could have and should have privately responded and asked me who the hell I was, that wouldn't have offended me.  You could have said anything you wanted and I wouldn't have cared, told me it was none of my business, whatever, would have stopped right there.  What you did was what I consider the greatest of all great offenses.  Violation of right to privacy.  That will live on in my mind forever.  Once it's public, it stays public.  Since you don't seem to get that, it will keep coming up.  I will comment, I don't care if you think it's stupid, or childish, or even funny.  Guess you've never heard of privacy laws, or read the privacy clause in a written contract, or filled out a consent form to have your medical records shared in a doctor's office.  I take it serious, even in personal communications online, non-business, it still applies.
