I have been running 1.2.2 on my MacBook Pro with the latest version of Snow Leopard, so it's not ALL mac users.

Can you help us out then? Open a Terminal window and type the following command: Hit enter and then copy/paste the resulting 2 or 3 lines.

Yes, the version number has been reported a few times. I wonder if a version-change in Java would help. I'm running the same as DJGYPSY: my-mac >java -version java version "1.5.0_22" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_22-b03-333-9M3125) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_22-147, mixed mode, sharing)

I'm having the same problem—bringing the game up on my Mac after updating. Using: java version "1.5.0_22" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_22-b03-333-9M3125) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_22-147, mixed mode, sharing) Refer to these two other threads from the "Bugs and Support > Bugs Version 1.2.X" forum: 1.2.2 Won't Launch http://www.planetmule.com/forum?topic=610.0MAC Version won't launch since update 1.2.2 http://www.planetmule.com/forum?topic=617.0

There are two threads on this topic so I'm giving my Java Version on both threads because it works for me:
java -version java version "1.6.0_17" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_17-b04-248-10M3025) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.3-b01-101, mixed mode)
And, for the record (for anyone who is trying to troubleshoot this) my yahoo, msn, and aim handles are all the same as my handle here, so you can IM me and get more info if you need.
I'm running Snow Leopard with the most recent updates.
Hardwar specs:
Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,5 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.53 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz Boot ROM Version: MBP55.00AC.B03 SMC Version (system): 1.47f2
Software Specs: System Version: Mac OS X 10.6.2 (10C540) Kernel Version: Darwin 10.2.0 Boot Volume: Brain Boot Mode: Normal Secure Virtual Memory: Enabled 64-bit Kernel and Extensions: No Time since boot: 11 days 4:22
Good luck troubleshooting.

With either of the following Java versions, MULE 1.2.2 does not bring up the game. It only launches and then quits.
Default Java: java version "1.5.0_22" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_22-b03-333-9M3125) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_22-147, mixed mode, sharing)
Using Java Preferences to only select Java SE 6 (64-bit): java version "1.6.0_17" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_17-b04-248-9M3125) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.3-b01-101, mixed mode)
System Version: Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L31a) Kernel Version: Darwin 9.8.0

I have the same problem. I'm running OSX 10.5.8 (9L31a), Darwin 9.8.0 on an iMac w/ Intel Core 2 Duo that has Java 1.5.0_20 and 1.6.0_15 available, and Java Preferences set to 1.6.0 doesn't fix the problem.

Also: forum admins, could you choose one of the 1.2.2-doesn't-work-on-a-mac threads, and lock the other ones so we can all focus on the same conversation?
