Having just lost due to an unintentional breach of ettiquette I thought we should provide a post for noobs to get an idea of what they should and should not be doing. Feel free to add to the list.

1) If you start a game, finish it.
2) If you are badly losing, try to get 2nd or 3rd, there is honor in moving up a spot. Its unfortunate this is not recognized officially as I think it would solve most of the sore loser problems we have.
3) Dont announce you are taking a break at summary after everyone has already pressed their spacebar. If you forgot to mention earlier please postpone until next round.
4) If you are taking a break make it brief and upon restarting ensure that everyone has confirmed they are ready to begin again.
5) Dont collude with others because you are a sore loser, collusion is acceptable if it can be shown to improve your position and isnt merely to pad anothers score
6) Limit complaining about an incident to 1 round and less than 60 seconds, no one wants to hear it for 6 rounds.
7)
Cool
9)
10)

Actually, it is recognized.  Take a close look at ranks on the webpage.  If I get 2nd I usually gain a point or more.  If I get 1st, I get 3 if I'm playing against some elites.

As your rank increases it gets harder and harder to make those gains.  You can in fact though get positive points in any position except 4th if the person in 4th has a much higher skill level than you.

I usually loose points in 3rd, but not always.  You still don't loose as many as if you come in dead last.
