Again. Putting up just ONE plot for sale may trigger a second/and or a 3rd and 4th plot, just the same as putting up 2-3 plots for sale WITHOUT a null point error occurring. The few times ive seen the null point error is when someone has put up 2-3 plots for sale, then the game throws up another 3land auctions right after(same round). Now i dont know for sure but the reason i think this error pops up is because the game has a LIMIT of 3land sales per round. When the system realizes its gone over that limit of 3land sales it freezes game. Maybe its not in the programming to accept having 4-6land auctions in one round, does "peter" know anything about this? Because it would confirm my suspicions on why this error (ONLY Imo) happens when you auction 2-3land in one round, and then the system sells 1-3plots directly after. I tried not using any planet mule slang this time mole, hope you understand this post.

Ps. Just sell one plot if you must!

And so with mid Novembe 2012 hs come the new 1.35 update.

Nice update this.

The first round advantage that the last place player had at auction time is also now gone.  Previously the lowest placed guy would get preference for any price offered, now it will go to random player offering the highest price. Perhaps a slight shame that it doesn't yet apply to plot selection too in rnd 1, but progress nevertheless.

Food in round 12 is now demand and supply based (instead of the up-to-now only commodity with a ridiculously low upper price cap of 43), bringing it into line with the other commodities.

The null point error with the game ending at times after players sold their plot is now also meant to be a thing of the past with this update.

Out of these updates, the food has the most potential of course to affect future gameplay. Energy was the main blackhorse to try and pull out an upset before, but now there's a new guy in town. Players might get torn between options, which means even more likely to be able to pull off upsets. Time will tell.

It will also be interesting to see if the random round 1 auction winning system will also mean a massive reduction (not that it was that common before though) in the 976 game, since randomness means 1-3 placed players still feel chance of getting plot now.

Another note about food.  We often would get careless in the last round and not bother having food, now doing this creates a spike, and in some cases, the people that do still have food get just enough leverage in a close game to come out on top when they other wise might have lost.  Ah, yes, the good old days of mule on the c64 are back. In the beginning of Planet Mule, players would have to wait hours sometimes until those few players able to host a game were available to do so. Once game was filled, the remaining would just twiddle their thumbs till a game became available. A few users would try be generous enough to open a game and host for otehrs even if they didnt want to play, but even then it was still hard to get a game.

When Mainstream introduced the automated hosting bots Mule4u/Mule4u2/mule4u3, things changed immediately. For first time, we now had had constantly available hosting options, and therefore it became much easier to have a game. I think there were 3 bots in total, although all 3 were not always available, but at least one would usually be.

Planet Mule growth would have been much harder without it for sure.

Anyway, mainstream is now releasing the software so that others can now host the bot software. Hopefully this will mean even more bots, and it being even easier to get a game.

I believe some were twiddling other apendages than their thumbs while viewing suggestive materials related to donkeys, but the point remains valid.
