Why does this happen???  It pretty much ruins game for everyone, if player dont quit he will make sure to ruin it anyway.

Has anyone ever recovered from this event?

Check my first game ever here, and you tell me. Tongue

Not enough to reach 2nd place, but close enough.

It sux, sure, but if a player quits or messes up the game for everyone else, he's a pretty poor sport, write his name down and don't play him anymore. Smiley

Rd2 plot loss is NOT the problem, its the handful(no names mentioned this time) of small minded players who think its gameover!! I have recovered may times from a rd2 plot loss and have watched others do it too. The advantage is most times you will have first choice at a plot the next rd or two, money to buy another plot or 2 the next rd, and there is always the free plot event. Alot can change in 10 remaining rounds, but if you dont have the balls to pick up your skirt and move on and try your best for a win(or 2nd) then you really shouldnt play this game, you put the other 3players in a position where they get to play a bot or watch you mess up the whole game with your angry bs. This is MULE, you better luv it for all that it is.

lol, having problems seeing where you lost rnd 2 plot and win dm?  For that matter no one has.  That really isn't the point here.

Mule is great fun and certainly hard enough playing the top 50.  We all know that ONE tiny mistake can cost ya.  What you say DM is true, you can get good events, extra plot ect.. and survive.  But, it also works the other way, being 1st,bad events, no auctions.  Ive seen players get wittled down to nothing, it doesnt take long esp. with the ore whores around here Wink

I play for the challenge and when rnd 2 loss happens(on me or other)it takes that good game feeling away. I have no problem struggling on but I know a newer player wont sit 1 1/2hr to get his azz kicked.

My point is its bad for the community, I wanna see more new players stick around and not leave on a random event.  Its hard enough to get a decent game the way it is, and to cripple one player outta the gate is just horrible.

If there is anything that is going to scare people away, it's the immature ranting that goes on between CBASS and DM17.

Yo mole, Do you ever play mule?? No you dont, so your comments about me mean nothing imo. you have nothing to add to this thread about a 2nd rd plot loss as its probably never happened to you. I find your comments are just to boost your forum "ranking". Looks like cbass pt 2 if you ask me.

Actually, I've been playing MULE for almost 30 years and indeed been able to come back after losing a plot many times.  It happens plenty in the original game, and I don't believe it should be removed.  I agree with Chuckie Chuck- if someone quits or tries to ruin the game because of it, just don't play with them again.  I did take a cheap shot at you in this thread, but only because I think you and CBASS need to take your incessant rantings into private at this point.  You can't deny that anyone seeing those posts would probably not want to stick around this community.  It doesn't seem friendly to an outsider.  As for why I don't play Planet MULE online much, it's not only because I don't have time, but when I do, I don't want to enter a game with random people; some of which might be "rankmongers" or unsocial chaps.  I prefer my MULE games to be an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Yes I am aware that my incessant rantings about cbass look silly, most of those posts are in the heat of the moment. But I also do not tolerate people who cheat or give up, while exposing these players I sometimes go overboard with my own opinions. From now on I will try to keep my posts short an sweet without all the hostile words. I really hope when you do have time to play mule, ill be logged in.

Was playin old c64 mule the other day and realized good/bad player events do happen in round 1, and just wondered, why we don't have them that way in this version.  Did we vote to not have them or something?

Dude, chucky don't you think we should keep the first rd events out?? I mean if players are bitching that its game over after a rd2 plot loss, dont you think they will have a heart attack and quit if it happens to them rd 1??  Bad idea!

won a game against elites after losing a plot rd 2 this week, but who's counting...

LOL, I personally don't care about the wimps that can't stand the bad events and bitch about them.  If we loved the game enough to play with the bad events way back when, then why is it a problem now?  I like a pure old school game.  Those guy wanting a modern twist, WAIT FOR MULE2 WITH CUSTOM OPTIONS.

That's just my opinion, let em whine!  Grin
