Two things...

1) If there's a land auction, and no one can afford the minimum bid.. how about ending the auction immediately instead of it ticking down?

2) If there's none of a commodity to sell by any of the players and no inventory at the store, how about ending the auction early as well?

P.S. I'm a software game developer for a living. LOVE your version of this game, BTW!

Yes those are great ideas chip!! But the way i see it is, that "time" while your sitting there waiting for the tic-toc to run out is used for thinking of ways to better f the other 3plyrs and win...and some use this time to take a hit from tha bong, sip of a drink, or to shoo there g/f away when shes trying to distract. Its just the way Mule is...you wanted it to be so close to the original, lets leave the "dead time" in the game.

Ps. Imo I like to relax while i play mule

It already does end the auction early if there is no store inventory and the players are on the buy side at the start.  It tic tocs faster when the players are not moving in other cases, than when they are moving, so I see no need for a change here.

I do like the idea of ending the land auction when the price is higher than any player can pay, but again, not a big deal cause it tic tocs fast until someone with enough money enters the auction.
