Hi Everybody,

We're working on small update for Planet M.U.L.E. with some bug fixes. What problems do you think are most important to fix?

At the very least we will address the player land auction crash (null pointer exception):

Hey Peter..

Well that's some pretty good news about the Null-Pointer!

I think the lag issues are most to my concern.
For example: I'm in last place and a land auctions comes up. I have enough money
to buy but due to the lag a higher ranked player get's it. That's really bugging me.

I will second that peter, position should get the plot in a land race...not the highest ping. If this can be fixed, i think we can end all the "wtf"s after a land race gone bad.

Random Null point error after a player sells a plot.

Lowest rank player not winning the tie in a land auction.

There is a very strong argument that being ranked last at the start of round one ensures you a plot at 972 if there is a auction and may give you a advantaged over the other 3 players((if they chose not to make your purchase costly by manipulating ore price) who didn't get a plot due to random start rank. Land auctions could be a random tie break for first round auctions then lowest ranked player wins for all other rounds or you could return auctions to starting in round 2 thereby giving the players one round to change their ranking and money  before a auction occurs. Also making the wampus harder to catch like the original mule would throw a wrench into first round auctions and increase the risk of buying a plot for more then 872.
Being a fan of the original mule I would like to see the game and round one more like the original but if that can't or will not be changed then round one land auctions needs to be tweaked.

FIX FOOD pricing in round 12!

When a plot doesn't sell during AI land auction the next auction was always half the price of the last auction before update 1.3.4 and in the original Atari/C64 versions.

Still convinced since update 1.3.4 positive players events are not being awarded at the same percentages as before update 1.3.4 or in the original Atari/C64 versions. IE 2nd places gets to many good events(I believe the original was 0% for 1st, 25% for 2nd and 50% for 3rd and 4th)

Make player land auctions like the original Atari/C64 versions! Give the player control of rather he sells or not instead of making a player bid for his own plot to control the price. Make it like the commodities auction.
Why this was changed from the original is puzzling.

Let player events negative and positive happen during round 1 minus the plot loss event just like the original mule. For those who argue against this keep in mind a negative event can be a positive event if it causes you to be last next round. There are many advantages to being last in this game for good reasons.

Rhodan has addressed pretty much everything that I have noticed too, I hope that most - if not all - of these issues/suggestions can be fixed/implemented.

But that's around 9am here, so I can only play at that time on my two days off... and variety is the spice of life!  Cool

Hi!
1. I think that it should be harder to catch the Wampus. You can count too much on catching it. It changes a mountain too slowly.

2. Also plotlines could be wider, so it will be easier to soo what is yours.

3. AI plays too stupidly. He might build 6 plots of food and so on.

4. If you sell your plot you should be able to set the price as you wish.

Peter,

How is the update coming along?

I truly hope you get the food pricing in the 12th round fixed along with the null point error.
Proper supply and demand pricing for food like energy does in the 12th would add a lot to the end game dynamics and options to win.

Next would be the land auction.
Currently the lowest rank player is guaranteed to win a tie in the first round but not in the rest of the rounds. I would like to see Random winner for ties in round one and lowest rank player wins ties round 2 thru 12.

Rhadan i right. The food and energy pricing should be fixed. Thought there isnt need for them in the last mont, but ore“s price can be high and nobody needs it as well.
