I can play local games just fine against AI, and I can connect to the lobby to describe my problem.
This tells me it's not graphics, and it's not windows firewall.

When I try to join games it says "LOADING...." the game freezes, and after a second or two it closes entirely.
When I try to create games, either training or tournament, it is the same.

You can try making rule for mule in your antivirus, or turn it off ...Ive had issues with port forwarding , opening ports in router and in antivirus firewall helped me.
