That is the VoiceOver feature of Mac OS X. You can turn this off by going to System Preferences, Univeral Access, Seeing and select OFF for Voice Over. This can get triggered if you press COMMAND-Fn F5

Just tested in Version 1.2 and bug is still there

When playing on Mac in Fullscreen mode the play field is clipped. Attached is an example picture. Tried this on mac book, iMac and mac pro using OS X 10.5 and 10.6.
