Well, this is sad news.
I've played both Worbar and Brainy Smurf and know him as one of the best players of M.U.L.E. and an all around nice guy. I hope and am sure you will stay or come back.
Take care Brainy.

THE SPACESHIP WE BE BACK IN 12 MONTHS !!!! there is not suppose to be demands on food cause there is NOT a Round 13 !!!!!!!! Price shouldnt SPIKE!!! Sorry but I just dont like it.
I agree with Drilan to a certain extent, but I don't think food will spike that much in most games, eventhough the possibility is there. And that is a worry. However, your argument that there is no round 13 holds true for energy as well. I always thought there was no point for an energy spike in round 12 because there is no round 13 (although continuous farming on Irata is up for debate). Food does not have the same property to spike in the quantity as energy does. It is a matter of supply and demand. The demand of food will be 5 food per player, as it was in the last few rounds, so 20 food in total. Any produce over 20 food would mean a reduction of the maximum price or so I am to believe. With energy this is different. You need 1 energy for every non-energy plot to produce. So, the demand for energy in round 12 is a lot higher than the demand for food (maximum demand for energy is 44, maximum demand for food is 20). I do think that the hunt for high tite plots and the hunt for 3-mountain plots are an integral part of the game, even when the race for being last is a bit silly. But I also believe that the maximum price for food in round 12 being $42 was wrong. So my suggestion is that we look for a happy medium. I think both energy and food should be capped in round 12. Capped to what price? I am not sure. maybe $148? Legg •The price of food in the final month will be calculated from supply and demand like any other month. The demand on the last month is considered to be 5 units of food per player. The demand was previously zero units.

So I will say it again, the reason someone quits if you put land up for sale is they dont like seeing another player buy up 1-3plots(possibly one thats connected to there plot), and gain a huge lead. Now that thats cleared up , please no more threads about the land sale option...It fucking stays!!
xoxo, Dm17
I forgot to say that I think selling land is part of the game, it belongs in M.U.L.E.. I just did it myself in my last game and that is why I started this poll. I would like to know if the majority is for it or against it. This is not an attempt to have it removed, as Intergalactic Mole said, it was available in the original game and it belongs in Planet M.U.L.E.. But maybe it is to sore a subject. Legg

Selling your own plot of land in the early stages of the game to reduce the price in the next round when you know you will have the most money has been an issue for a long time but even more so recently. Do you think it is part of the game, good strategy, or maybe morally incorrect? I know more than 1 active player would quit the game istantly if this would happen because of the chance of the null point(er?) error.
What is your point of view?

I am pretty certain that this phenonemen is caused by lag. Players will see themselves in front, and seen to be overtaken in the last second. But the reality is that although you see yourself in front, the players are actually on the same level according to the hosting bot. The other player too would probably see himself in front of you on his screen. However, At the end of the auction this lag will be gone and it looks as if the player who was behind made a quick jump at the end, overtaking you eventhough you kept running all the time. There is no cheating involved. This happens more to players in Europe than in the U.S. because the hosting bots are on a server in the U.S.
Because of lag it is also possible to miss some cycles and then you can't even keep up with the others in a land auction. I've been miles behind and still dropping too many times. :-(

Simpla is Akire1, Leggitte.
Anyways, time will tell if she's really different.
I know Simpla is the same person as Akire1. I replied to rodz message because he wrote that simpla/akire/eumel et al can't cheat because of mule4u. This is the part I did not understand. Why can't he/she not cheat because of mule4u? What has changed? My advice would be to not play this person with 2 AI, but with 4 humans there is no problem and I'd like to mention that too. Leg (Lag)

no cheating, as she cant because of mule4u.
Not sure what you mean here. Has mule4u been changed? He/she cheated mainly by either kicking the only other player just before the first round started or by not pressing the spacebar during a summary (sometimes leaving it for hours!) and I think that is still possible now. I have no bad experiences with Simpla myself. Played once or twice but only 4 player games, no problems there. Leg

I looked at it, and the host bot sent the game completion log on round 10 for some reason and stopped logging, but the other players all logged through round 12, so emailing one of those logs to Peter ought to be enough to get a correction. (Or since you linked to your game, he could even grab the appropriate logs himself.)
Many thanks for your reply Chuckie Chuck. Much appreciated. Leg

Hi All. Whenever I play a training game it tells me I cannot connect and the scores will not be saved. Is there a way around this?
Yes, you will have to enable port forwarding on your computer/router. There are many threads about this on the forum so doing a search for 'port forwarding' on this forum will give better results than me giving you a link or 2. It seems to be a very confusing topic, so don't expect to have it sorted in a few minutes. When you do have it sorted there is also the advantage of being able to host games. Handy when there are more players logged in than the mule robots can handle. Good luck! Legg

Leaving a training game still counts as an abandon right? But winning doesn't help your standing?
I don't think training games count towards any statistics. I do think it is safe to abandon them at any time you like. I have started training games when there were no other players logged in, when they did show up I disconnected the training game and joined a tournament game. It has never counted towards my 'abandons'.

Are these plot trackers still being updated?
Although already great, a feature I would like to see is a way to mark a plot I would like to get in the next round. I am using old fashioned paper and pencil and apart from the information these trackers give I also mark plots which I would like to go for in the next land grant as a plan for the next few rounds.
