Me too, I like the Deserts and the $50 Assay I can live with, Please keep both, Also how about a bigger map(more squares and maybe some extra time for the extra distance) and either 2 or 4 more players(Super Tournament game)?

Indeed, I played the original game that I bought from a store and played It on a modified Atari 400 w/48k ram, better keyboard and an Indus GT 5.25" fdd endlessly back in the 1980's, Thank You so much, You've brought an old friend back to life.  Grin

4  M.U.L.E. Community / General Discussion / Re: 1.1 testing on: December 22, 2009, 05:50
Sounds delightful but stop making me hungry with all this talk of dessert!

Also, is there anything in 1.1 that wasn't mentioned before and is there any news on what will be done in 1.2? I know it's still too soon to ask but you know these questions (or at least the 2nd one) will be asked at some point so why not now.

Without knowing what I am allowed to say about 1.1 and what I am not (Peter, mind telling me what I can say?), what is safe to say is that a number of "confirming to original spec" game mechanics have been applied (although a set Crystite price of $48 is not a fix, lol), as well as at least half-a-dozen UI improvements which make both the lobby and the game interface itself easier to manage.

As for 1.2, we were allowed to make suggestions based on the 1.1 test, but I'll wait until Peter gives us the go ahead to mention anything.

Needless to say, he's going to be busy tonight making additional changes/corrections to the 1.1 code that were needed, based on what we were able to expose during the test.

In general, though, you are going to be quite pleased with the way 1.1 turns out compared to 1.0, and will only have you clamoring for more improvements and features.
Can't wait for 1.2, I have 1.1 now, played a game, 1 player got frozen in the center shops, He couldn't move, So He logged off and then the AI took His position and then game went on as If He was still there, Sorry I don't have a link to the game, Also another player was trying to sell some ore or something and His character(Green) went down beyond the screen(way off screen), later He came back up into view though, Weird, Oh and Planet MULE isn't listed for routers at all(Westell 7500 and a Netgear WPN824v3, I played wirelessly @ 108Mbps), But I got that all sorted as I'd set the port to Out instead of In(Oopsie), My bad, As It was the 1st time I'd had to set a port.

Yep... Seven Cities of Gold has always been one of my absolute favorite games of all time... right behind M.U.L.E.  :>

Melanie - while it's been fantastic to finally get to play this game again, it means MUCH more to me that Dan's kids are a part of it.  Thank you for helping make this all possible.
Same here, I had both and Seven Cities I'd play and play and well You know... MULE was always good, All on an Atari 400 at one time. Now I just have figure out how to forward a port in My system, As It goes through a Netscape WPN824 v3(@ 108Mbps) and then to a Westell 7500 dsl modem/router.

I had a modded Atari 400 w/48k and an aftermarket keyboard back in the 80's.
