1  Planet Mule 1 / Old Bugs 1.0 / Re: Froze during land grant round 6 on: December 09, 2009, 02:39
I'm surprised you're that patient.

At present, kicking people or having people leave generally tends to result in crashes.

The game attempted to cast me from Spectator to Player once after a bot got kicked during game setup, and crashed because it couldn't actually *do* that. Tongue (There isn't a log to link to AFAIK because the game never started; actually, the host crashed too)
3  M.U.L.E. Community / Player Introduction / Re: When did you first get sucked in to this game? on: December 08, 2009, 07:42
I too first found M.U.L.E. on the C64 in the 80s, as a kid, and had a lot of fun playing it with my family back then. More recently, within the last year or so, before I heard of PlanetMule, I managed to convince one of the people I knew online to play the NES version through an emulator over the internet. We spent the majority of our time making a fortune catching the Wampus repeatedly, as it was apparently far, far too easy to catch him on the NES. Tongue
4  Planet Mule 1 / Old Bugs 1.0 / Re: Game froze at start of Round 6 on: December 08, 2009, 07:35
I haven't had this happen yet, but I've only played two 4-player tournament games and one 6-round training game. Someone else mentioned that they thought the freezing might be due to leaving your guys between the lines during the trading phases instead of moving them back above or below the lines before the timer ran out; we've always moved our guys back behind the lines before the timer ran out, so if that's the cause of the bug, that would explain why it hasn't happened to us yet. Or it may just be luck.

This isn't a bug.
6  Planet Mule 1 / Old Bugs 1.0 / "Press J to join or A to add AI" - A does not add AI if A is your left key on: December 06, 2009, 00:53
I changed my left key from whatever the bizarre default was to A, so it would be more sensible, but then when I went to start a game, I found that I couldn't actually add any AIs - when I pressed A, nothing happened.

I first played it on a commodore 64 a couple decades ago myself. Smiley
