This blog post suggests that it's a 32 vs 64 bit problem.

However, I have not yet been able to get the "fix" to work.

Considering that this is still a bug after the blog post was from 2012 and the post I am replying to here was from 2014 tells me that Planet MULE is an abandoned project.

If a bot does not have enough money to buy a MULE when it enters the MULE store, it leaves the store empty-handed and tries to enter an outfitter. The bot is rejected over and over by the outfitter for not having a MULE until the play timer expires.

Auctions are too long when players have a lot of inventory to sell.

The "production" bar graph reaches the top of the screen but players must wait before the production counts are tallied before continuing the auction.

When selling a large inventory, a means to accelerate the selling would be a good improvement.
