Hi Dave, Sorry to hear about your bad experience. There is certainly some of that here, though I wouldn't say that language is the norm. As for the kick, I had a quick peek at the log. Looks to me like you missed plot selection a round or two and they probably figured you weren't playing seriously and would soon be quitting. I can assure you it had nothing to do with ranking. Cyber Ranger couldn't care less about that, as you can tell by looking at his Skill Rating. Anyway, with the right players you can actually learn quite a lot from the chat at times. The rest of the time it's fine to ignore. Best Regards, AlpenCactus

Okay, so I get Motorman -- for his renowned playing skills, and Sir Ron -- for his legendary history on Planet Mule, and even Muleugenics -- for controversy and to increase viewer interest. But Gohar?? Seriously??? Not only is his play a step down from top-notch, once he quits round 3 after an unfortunate event, the game will cease to be interesting all together. Clearly, Rhodan should have his spot. Only then will you have a match-up guaranteed to clear-out Nordel's vast inventory of piss jugs.

Yes, I did quit -- second time in almost 600 games -- because the game was ruined by the two early quits. Your taking advantage of the bot's flaws to gobble up so many plots took any "sport" left out of the game. If I felt you had a chance to win a reasonably fair game, I would have played it through for your sake. One could say it was poor sportsmanship to play it the way you did, though I wouldn't go quite that far. I completely understand your frustration at dedicating over an hour of your time and having the game ruined. That happens far too often and is no doubt a primary reason we don't have more active players. It's a shame, and I hope one day it will be different.

Following a great deal of thought, plus consultations with my family and legal team, I have decided (in hopes of avoiding a scandal that might tarnish the reputation of myself and the MULE community) to come completely clean about any connections I might have to Ovaltine. First of all, as has been maliciously speculated, I have, in fact, on a number of occasions enjoyed a cool, tall glass of Ovomaltine (as they call it here) while playing MULE. However, and I say this in all honesty, it was NEVER (ever) my intent to gain any advantage over my fellow players. I have always regarded the rumors about the performance-enhancing effects of Ovaltine to be a gratuitous attempt at product marketing, and I have chosen to imbibe solely for refreshment purposes (and to supplement certain minerals I believe to be lacking in my diet).
Although I did not log my performance on the days I took Ovaltine, I'm QUITE SURE my winning percentage was, statistically speaking, within my normal range for those particular games. Furthermore, I categorically DO NOT endorse taking Ovaltine before or during MULE games in order to improve your results. But hey, if you like the stuff ... go for it.
BTW, thanks a bunch Hutz for the shoutout. And thanks to all of you who make the games fun, challenging, and fair.
Sincerely, Alp

*sigh* Well, I do hate to question the word of an elite, but .... I know it didn't count toward the previous week, because the badge winners were posted before the game was over -- and I would have won one if the game had counted. And I know it didn't count toward the coming week, because the win didn't show up in the top 10 list. That's all I can tell you about it. I would say, the best alternative is to make the end time of the game determine which week it counts for. That way, the comp can declare the results at midnight GMT.

Well, not exactly a bug, but ... Games that start before midnight GMT and end after midnight don't seem to be counted toward earning badges for either week. Games started before midnight should either count toward the weekly win count for that week or else count toward the coming week. Now they just disappear into a big black hole ...
