Whoever did this....THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! We are finally getting game like Old School Mule. We are getting games with less than 5 auctions a game, as opposed to those that had 2 or 3 a turn which was ruining the game.

funny thing is yes I drink a ton of water ice tea lime aid and orange juice but no beer.
Why is jagov mad? because we don't play with his buddy? Nope we don't. And we enjoy the game more as a result.

having 3 mountain plots together.. 2 - 3 and 1 - 2. All ready to produce and make me a ton of money. But no! A meteor hits the center plot thus killing the massive 3 plot production of 8 mountains. they next turn I'm still in lead.....but now the meteor killed my plot, I lose it because of the paperwork. It was then given to another player....to encourage development.

To all, I will be leaving MULE for a while. Maybe I am paranoid or whatever, but I have noticed that there are certain patterns that have been happening more and more in the game, and it has made me enjoy it less and less. 1) the amount of auctions is just ridiculous. Talking with friends about the original Atari game in 1984, we remember you might be lucky of there were 6 auctions. Now you can expect 6 by turn 3. it throws off the game with that many plots owned so early. 2) It seems the game is favoring tite play more and more, thus making the game rather boring since its all about the tite swarm at tend. I remember even here you could win with ore, food, or end if played right. However the comp seems to adjust to when a player tries that (esp massive ore production and quake). And that goes along with massive auctions since you don't have to trade for food or eng as much as in the old days since you probably will have a plot or two with those in it. Also tite used to be spread around the board more. It wasn't uncommon for High's to be at the borders. Now tite is almost always centered around the middle. 3) The randomness is gone. You can figure when a quake will happen. You can figure when a pest will happen. You used ot be able to fig when a Pirate would happen but in order to help tite that seems to be reduced.
I wish you the best, but the game has lost its fun for me.

I always hated the first curse. in some cases its so Brutal you end up losing just by events. However I always wondered if everything was random....but on a % based on position. Maybe only a 5% chance something good could happen to 1st......and 95% bad........but the way it is now.....some people get nailed with losing a plot in the beginning......and losing a mule at the end of a turn.
